What did you do for the asc delete? I have a strut bar that i cant put on because its for non-asc cars :/
i did the welded for drift car things.

asc delete was as simple as removing all of the stuff, and replacing the boot and hose with nonasc parts.

What's the general consensus on putting the flat M trim on a non-m E36? Obviously I will opt for one without the M badge and I generally would consider putting things that having your car masquerade as something it's not is a faux pas. However, it's cheaper to purchase the flat style of trim then the non-m door trim I have which is faded and one piece warped.

I say go for it. I think they fit the body lines better and they match the bumper trim. Like you said, I just wouldn't use M3 badges if it isn't.

Agreed, a lot of the M stuff just looks better, and as long as you stay away from the M badge, I dont think anyone views that as posing.

Honestly cant believe i never noticed m3 trim was flat. And you can always spring for the Motorsport ones that were on the mtechs!

My 99 came from the dealer w/ M trim & a Lux M3 front bumper, M3 rear bumper & M3 twisties. If that upsets someone, fantastic. It doesn't same M3 like M3 trim does.

The Motorsport trim is nice, agree that is another good option as well.

On topic, I will be installing Garagistic poly RTABs & limiters tonight after work.

I registered my new "old" e36 in Virgina and put shiny new license plates on it. I traded my 94' e34 for it but PO included a full m52b28 with wiring harness, ECU, exhaust and a bunch of other parts. This 318i came with all the paperwork and even the original title from Germany when a service member shipped the car over to Virginia Beach area. It has a lot of M3 parts...

    Anyone know this car? ;-)

Seems it was definitely owned by some enthusiasts. I am going to rebuild the m52 engine and then swap it. The original M44 seems to run good. PO said he experienced some clutch slippage in first gear but that it is very intermittent. I have not felt the clutch slip at all, but the m52b28 has a good working clutch for when I do the full swap.

Overall I am very happy with the trade and look forward to my second e36. ;-)

That engine is so nice looking.......... today, I scored an instrument cluster for the sons car, and a shift knob for mine at the local pick and pull. And did this......

And here's why your motor makes me feel bad......

Sure hope the replacement engine doesn't have that kinda rust!!!!

On a side note, got her running(ish) injector for cyl 6 sprayed fuel everywhere. Doesn't seem to have fully seated and I can't get it to fully seat. any tips to get that injector fully in the fuel rail?

Replaced front control arm bushings. Uncertain about the way the right side bushing fits on bar though. Thinking about ordering a new control arm

I inserted them in the rail first and then carefully pressed the top of rail to seat the injectors in the manifold. Did you try rubbing a little motor oil or Vaseline on the o-rings before inserting into both the rail and manifold? 6 is the hardest due to the lack of clearance near the firewall plenum.

Ya know, I don't remember doing that. I should have, but I was so eager to get the car started I didn't. I'll take the injectors out and lube the seals.

Popped the trans cleaned up and off that motor, came off pretty easy, and apparently I dodged a bullet because my dual mass flywheel appears to be nice and tight.

My 328is has the M sport package, just because they didn't put the M's all over them back then like they do now doesn't mean we can't or that we look like posers. I certainly have been putting them on as I update my interior. Mostly just because they just happen to come on the things I want.

    I installed a BOV today

Paid the girl a visit in her place of winter hibernation. I'm getting super antsy to bring her out and may have procured some new seats and interior goodies.

Took off those cheap-o depo's after countless "brake/tail light out" faults and noticing that they had started to gather a bit amount of water inside them

Back to oem for now. Scored these at a local junk yard. Perfect shape but now ny right blinker is blinking twice as fast lol

Also sourced two rear e36 fitment style 42 barrels to refinish and swap my front faces onto, to finally complete my square set up

Fixed the injector issue and put 20 miles on her. Can't wait until the break in period is over. Haven't gone full throttle yet but goddamn the car pulls hard already.

Only issue is i got some codes for the ICV, so I'll will be doing some digging around

Break in = drive the piss out of it. No need to be too easy on it. Just avoid the limiter and load the engine frequently. You don't want to build up a ton of heat either though so you just do it for brief moments of high load.
