attempted to change my door lock actuator only to realize i lost the astrix bit i need
Went to a junkyard to find wires to replace the ones in my trunk that are shorted out/ melted in half.
And unfortunately had to install hood pins since no matter how I adjust the oem shocks the hood comes up on mew when I go above 70mph
Crazy Rays in Edgewood actually. They only had three e36s, all 325i. One e30, some e34s, a 528e and an e39.
My friend got a new aux fan, an extra bumper core support, and an extra license plate bracket.
changed out the front speakers in the kick panel. had to cut out the holes to allow space for the larger speakers.
Removed the stock airbox, cleaned and debaffled it, then put the car back together.
last weekend:
tried to replace my tie rod end, no go, frozen tight to the inner, so ordered up both sides inner and outer, much easier to change. also realized my rear tires were toed in a rediculous amount, which is probably why my rear tires were smoked so fast. eyeballed them, since i will be getting an alignment after the tie rods, and damn if it didnt make a huge difference in feel. plus my steering wheel is actually straight to go straight, instead of off to the left. installed front control arm bushings also, PITA! all in all, she is getting there!
Put on 2 new rear shocks
Found out that the guy who painted my Subaru after the crash and who does bodywork for the dealership my dad works at that he would paint the lowers on my car (sides and both bumpers) for about 150-200 bucks.
I might do it in a couple weeks.
Clear sidemarkers and chrome kidney grills.
Pulled the rear deck to try and find where a rattle was coming from, I think I fixed it but I couldn't get those damn c-pillar trim pieces on properly no matter how hard i tried. Is there any trick?
fitted all of my new to me alloys, pretty pleased how they look
also ordered some cheap and nasty coilovers so i can drop the front a bit, probably can't drop much as i'm already scraping the sills and exhaust, drive ways here are so steep and it is my dd.
also ordering a new o2 sensor, plug leads and number plate delete from pelican parts. i'll update when they get here, can't wait to get them all fitted!

got in it and drove to UTI to sign up for the BMW program.... starting on may 10th
Fixed my lisence plate lights, pass side highbeam, rear windscreen brakelight, gas flap actuator, powerlocks, trunk light, and trunk light sensor.
All these issues were fixed when I re-did the wires that ran through my trunk, which were shorted out and melted.
I had to wire up the lisence plate lights up to my drivers side tail light because I cannot get them working any other way. Oh well, I may just shut off the check control.
Unfortunately broke my sunroof in the process. It didnt really work before but now something's jammed in it. Also found out my spare tire is flat.
cleaned off a big glop of bird s****
