It was a road rage case actually -- some jerk in a KIA Sorrento cut me off and slammed on the brakes.
Insurance claim pending, car will be in the shop bright and early monday AM!

The worst part is it will probably be my fault due to the nature of these types of accidents (rear ended). I saw the guy driving crazy prior to the indicent, on several streets, but unforunately someone who only saw the collision pulled over with this guy to back him up... Nobody that saw his erratic behavior pulled over to help me.

The only good part will be I may get a hood/valance respray out of this. Lots of rock chip action going on up there.

Still, I'll be out of a car, may have to pay the $500 deductible, and be out of my car for a week or so.

Events like this really shake you up -- everyone be careful out there and SLOW DOWN!

Should've rammed the guy between both vehicles once he got out to check the damage. I hear dead people can't talk
    Fuckin asshole.

Drove it to work. Found out my bumper should get painted sometime next week.

Drove around; first went over some rough dip and scraped something on the underside pretty bad, then I somehow got stuck going over 5 biggest speedbumps I've encountered in the last year. It felt like rock crawling.

Well within the past week I installed new springs, front & rear, shocks in the rear, summer tires & rims, new radiator, new fan, painted and installed new fender, fixed driver side door handle, installed bumper, fog lights detailed and buffed the whole car, detailed the interior, fixed falling off trim pieces, and pissed the gf off because i've been in the garage all week.

Not sure what you define as DRL's on an E36 anyways. I don't know what us spec cars had? I do see lit turn indicators sometimes.

Funny how much cars can differ in between countries. But I'm sure your lightswitch has 2 settings just as ours. 1 click to only have the smallest lights turned on (parking lights/city lights) and second click to also have the low beams on (which some call main beams).

Anyways, from click one, over here in Euroland, can turn on the front fogs as well. Only thing we can't is turn on the fogs by themselves.

As running foglights is only legal in less than 200 meter sight or snow, I much have had them on as much as 15 minutes in (nearly) 4 years of ownership.

Works the same on US-spec cars.

DRLs light the high beam bulb to 40% power as soon as the ignition is turned on. they are NOT city lights, nor fog lights. the DRL module did not have the necessary pins to ground my fog light circuit, so i had to do a little extra research/wiring.
