Amen to that! No more dealing with the rotor screw either.

What diff would that make on rotor screw? I have studs on my e39, pretty sure I'm still rocking rotor screw...
Also lock, what are you doing with your old fxr light set up? My depos ain't cutting it (in comparison to my e39's Xenons).
I was supposed to take the e36 out of storage back in March but plans changed. The next time I'll be at the garage is Cinco de Mayo weekend so hopefully while very hungover on Sunday morning I can get the car prepped for road use.
More work on my friends 328, somehow the ds sway bar mount got smashed, got a new one.
But had to get rid of what was left of the old one. Cut, grind and chisel with more fitting before welding. Got a little carried away with the air chisel.

I'm working with another forum member here to make a more universal retrofit bracket than the one TheRetrofitSource sells (which only accepts FX-R projectors). I have the prototype bracket in my lights at the moment running G5-EX projectors (amazing intensity by the way). The bracket will not only accept most popular projectors (Morimoto Mini D2S, Bi-LED, G5, and many others), but will also be a simple bolt-in with little to no customization needed, not even rotational adjustment!
I'm probably going to keep the G5 projectors so I may sell the FX-R setup.
Gonna need oil change for first track duty this weekend. 5w40....brand?
These motors do ok with changing over to a full synth if they hadn't previously ran it?
Did a coolant flush and got water boarded while stuck under the car and my friend pulling my legs. My ears were full of coolant and I got like 2 quarts in the pan.
Just put the insurance back on for tomorrow. Taking it out of storage, putting the BBS back on and an oil change with Mobil 1 0w-40. Then it's just a matter of deciding what I will needlessly be spending money on.
Yes. Engine doesn't really change. All the myths about synthetic causing leaks is synthetic cleans better than conventional (and honestly is better for the seals too) but what can happen is the conventional allowed build up in an area that helped keep the oil in..... So there is the chance that changing will clean up the goop and you'll notice a leak.

Pulled the molding and polished it. First time I've ever detailed it after 4 years and it does look better. Just making it pretty for future autocross events.
