You have got to be f***ing kidding me dude... That might as well have been a meteor, I have never seen that happen on a rear quarter window on any car ever. Sux...

Had to dremel out rivets for window regulator replacement. Not fun.
Yeah ive never seen it either and of course its the quarter window! Of course! haha but kinda dig the look of the mirrors? still looks OE
Today I was able score a quarter window out of a junker for $22
The donor cars doors were locked shut but I ended up using a razor blade to cut the trim from the exterior that was retaining the glass and it actually fell out rather easily. cutting the trim revealed there are two like retaining or guide clips at the rear of the quarter window but other than that it was only held in there by the seal . Still need to do a bit of research to find out how to get it in properly but I was also able to score an aluminum thermostat housing

Changed driver seat reclining white gear. Pretty easy. Next is passenger. Also installed short shifter. Make sure your snap ring pliers open to at least 1 1/4". Makes the job so much easier.
Summer is here and the E36 community is busy making those new cars look like shit.
Nice score on the window Thrifty S50, I need to get my ass to a pick and pull but last time I went they tried to rape me.
Thanks on the mirrors. It was NOT an easy mod and some machining is required, since I don't have a cnc machine (Wishes) it was all done on a drill press and with metal files. I have decided they will be black.

So I had a bit of rusty water boil up out of cyl #1 spark plug hole when the motor was hot. I cleaned it out and have not had additional problems since. I have been washing the car allot rinsing off the clear and I have removed the plastic cover from the valve cover. Well I noticed rusty water boiling up out of the cyl # 6 yesterday and that kinda made me think the water got in there. The car started running rich and after I removed the coils I could see that water had made its way down in there. I used some WD-40 and filled all the holes with the plugs in them (Coils removed of course). After about 5 minutes I used a vacuum to suck out the WD-40, then a compressor to blow out the rest of the garbage, and some paper towels to wipe up the mess. Three of the plugs had a bit or rust on them and it looks like I am running rich, at least its not lean cause I am running the 2.8 on a 413ecu, I cleaned up the plugs and threw them back in, but not before doing a compression test to make sure I didn't have a cracked head or leaking gasket. This is the swapped M52 #1 192 #2 185 #3 190 #4 190 #5 192 #6 192 I'm good with that. I found some heavy duty O-rings and put them around the base of my coils to help prevent this problem in the future. Motor is running great now, no longer smells rich now that all the cylinders are firing. I still need to figure out why my plugs are black, rich condition? Maybe leaky injectors?

Rolled the front fenders. They had self cleared but the lip was wavy, so I rolled everything down and think I have some more clearance now.
Try to do the headliner these days, just removed it and cleaned it, now to fit the new fabric... it's not perfect and it's a lot of work but turn out ok

Day 3 of ownership: ordered spare key, cleaned/waxed the trunk lid and hood, reattached the antenna to the head unit and fixed its mounting so it doesn't slide around in the dash so I have tunage, checked all exteror lighting for functionality, gassed up and added Techron.
Day 5 of wnership: took delivery of 2 spare keys from the dealer, cleaned trunk and verified spare tire condition/pressure, cleaned battery posts, lubricated all locks and hinge points, cleaned engine compartment, found leak in rubber intake boot between MAF and throttle body (temporary fix applied), recieved and deployed jack and owner's glovebox manual in mail, tightened mounting bolt for horn and ziptied various loose, saggy wires in engine bay, replaced hub center trim on wheels.
