Correct. Rear strut bar would still reinforce the shock towers while also providing "flex" support. That being said, I don't think a rear strut bar will help you much other than for some dope ass street cred, yo.
I would install a bar up front if anything, not the rear.
My central locking stopped working suddenly yesterday and I'm still trying to figure out why.
What I've noticed:
-Micro switches work since the windows pop back up after closing the door(s) and by pressing the buttons with my finger
-Interior lights turn off like normal when the car is running, but stay on after shutting the car off and locking it so I assume the car thinks one of the doors is still open.
-Needless to say the locking button doesn't do anything
Just going to keep digging further and play with the doors/locks some more.

Replaced both belts and existing pulleys.
Replaced both hydraulic tensioners.
Added the missing deflection pulley.
Replaced overflow tank hose.
Replaced fan shroud.
Replaced hood and trunk emblems with OEM instead of the cheap carbon fiber black ones.

De-rusted and treated the exhaust mount while I'm waiting for my new center bearing.[ATTACH=CONFIG]612866[/AT20171015_120922.jpg TACH]20171015_120922.jpg
Been a while since I have been motivated to do anything e36 related, but a track event is coming up next month, and its time to show just how sharp this projects teeth are going to be next season. About the only things left are brake ducting & a steering geometry correction kit, but those can wait.
Ordered today:
Turner camber arms
Lemforder LCAs
Lemforder RTABs (to be paired w/ Garagistic limiters)
Purchased today:
18x9.5 +35 Advanti Optimo (to be paired w/ 235/40 RSRR's)
Finished the CBS replacement, unfortunately the noise I've been chasing is still there. At least the guy that did the pressing work for me only charged to take the old one off and put the "wrong" one on. The rest was free.

Would be killer, those were my runner up before going with the 2 pc 42's
What is it that your chasing?? I did the same thing about 6 months ago, Replaced the Whole DS, and whole new clutch kit chasing a whine. I was dreading it was trans related, hoping it was CSB or Throwout, turned out to be the Diff. Pinion Bearing probably went. I threw in a 3.15 and it fixed it.

I'm afraid that's going to be the issue. From the drivers seat it seems to come from the left rear but I can't hear anything with the window open. The shop I took it to claimed if it was the dif the sound would change on deceleration and blamed it on the tires. Put the wife's 17's on and my snows and no change. I even put some 80-140 gear lube in with no change. I'll try to post a video. What is it that your chasing?? Hmmm not sure, sounds like how mine started. It eventually evolved into a supercharge-esque type whine. not sure if you already mentioned, but Is the whine effected by Engine Speed, or Car Velocity?
Dif sounds are normally more of a growl than a whine, and yes it would change upon load not speed.
My guess is probably wheel bearing. You said it sounds like drivers rear, does the sound go away/lessen when you take a left turn (so, it would be taking pressure off of drivers side bearing).
I just had the same thing with my wife's town n country. Similar sound.

It started as the whoosh, whoosh sound above 35 mph and developed into what you can hear now at all speeds. I'm starting to look for a dif, unless the bearings can be replaced with the dif in the car. Never mind, $200+ just for the two bearings. You'd think with everybody swapping in LSD's there'd be plenty of 2.93 opens for sale.Dif sounds are normally more of a growl than a whine, and yes it would change upon load not speed.
It doesn't seem to change when I corner, I don't know if you could hear when I went into the circle. The left rear bearing has less than 20K on it, I need someone to ride with me to see if it's actually coming from that side, not just because of where I'm sitting.

Mileage has nothing to do with anything. Parts these days are junk. I've seen bearings go in just a couple thousand miles. Jack up the back of the car and pull the wheels outwards to see of their is any play.
The noise is not likely from the dif. In my experience a bad dif will make noise, or atleast more/louder noise, under acceleration. Your noise is consistent.
My bet is still wheel bearing.

Changed the cabin air filter and then discovered this guy. That explains the noise I’ve been hearing from my engine bay...

Mad props to you on that one. Straight sheering off a motor mount, that takes some talent.
