Fixed the cheap bulging plastic in the middle of my bumper by the grill opening.
My bumper is aftermarket so since the plastic is cheap it bows out at the bottom in the middle. I used plastic epoxy and a stiff paint mixing stick to hold its shape better and clamped it while it cured along with a metal file behind it to ensure it bonded completely flat. The paint mixing stick is wood so I expect it to deteriorate over time but by then I plan on having a replacement OE bumper or ECS if it's good and respray the car at the same time.
My fan clutch is bad, so the question is: Replace the clutch, fan delete or go electric? The shop diagnosed it for me, when I thought I was leaking refrigerant.
I have the fan clutch tool and wrench left over from when I did my cooling system overhaul. I'll be doing the work myself, but I think I'm leaning on the Euro diesel fan at the moment. Ideally I'd want to keep costs down, because I still need RTABs and maybe struts.

Sold it. Now to get an M3 or E30?
Did mine today also. After replacing stock springs for coilovers my original settings weren't too far off tho I was getting tire squealing at slow speed turns. Rear camber maxed out at -1.7 they said (I asked to see if I can get -2). Also why do we have caster that appears out of spec. Is this normal for e36?
Winter beater
First thing I did, was lowered it... But not sure if that's enough.
Test fitted E39 Styling 66. Would look nice...

I spent the day slapping on my m3 door trim and freshening up the trim all around with new paint so it all matches and fades together lol. Very happy with the look. I was so tempted to keep the M3 badges but it's not an M3 so they had to get sprayed.
Sorry for the enormous pics lol. I'm still getting used to flickr. I swear I've seen M3 door trim badges that said "bmw motorsport" with the checkers flag or something of the sort that doesn't say m3 but fills the spot nicely. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or could hook it up with a link. I also installed a new tow hook cover piece and matt black kidney grills because mine were in needs of replacements but I didn't snap pics of that.
P.S. I'm gonna paint that damn chin spoiler lol.

My 1999 328is came from the dealer with an ///M badge, where the M3 badge would go.
Looks like this... a cheaper alternative to the BMW Motorsport & M-techic badges I'd imagine.
It's M tech trim. So the M badge is standard for these pieces. Only the M3's have, well M3 on them.

Interesting info on the m-tech stuff, my oem wheels have little M badges on them and I wondered about that. I ended up going with black LTW BMW motorsport international badges:

The M badges would have also looked good I agree, but I love the checkered flag design on this badge.

Bought a new BEHR fan clutch to fix that issue. Then I splurged and bought new shift and parking boots along with a ZHP shift knob to replace my old worn parts.
Out with the old (right) in with the new (left)
No more restrictive 323 midpipe, now I've got a catless midpipe with a stromung catback. Sounds mean

No way! I plan on doing the same thing as soon as I can get my hands on the proper midpipe, likely this weekend. Let me know what sort of work around you encounter moving the sensors around. Also, let me know how peppy it feels after!
Also, can you fit the whole exhaust in the cabin of your car with the back seats down? I'd have to drive eight hours total to pick it up and bring it back, but I need to know if the midpipes will fit in my car.
Regreased the brass caliper guide bushings on the reman'd E46 ATE calipers. One was already starting to hang/bind when pushed 10/10. I found it accumulated debris on the pins, and have begun looking into material for caps. ECS equivalent are 4x more, but have internal o-ring as well as caps.
I was asked to come test the course design this Friday by the designer for an SCCA Autox event to be held this weekend. This will be my first attempt at an SCCA course, and in my own car, so I am going to send it. The designer competes nationally in STX in a 325is, I wonder how he will like my car on corded 225s.

I think its safe to say i needed rtabs lol.
I'm loving watching you go through what I did lol. Drilling them out? It's super easy. I drilled them out a bit and then used a chisel to work the lip in a bit to hammer them out.
We ended up having to extend one of the o2 sensors, but other than that the swap was pretty straightforward. It does seem to have gained a little power, I'm not great at gauging gains but it does seem to pull a little harder. I know the muffler fits but I haven't needed to put a midpipe in the car so I have no idea, it might work if you take out the front seat/fold it forward?
.double post.
Cant delete in dumb android app.
