Spent the day on some minor details. I hope to do a lot of this with the car over the next while.
Removed the ratty old trim under the rear pop out window, and the gasket inside that cracks and dries out over time

Next up I have an LTW air duct underpanel, and new windshield cowl. Should be here in a week or so.
notMpowered, I need to do that too. How complicated was it?
They're held on with double sided tape. Hardest part is pulling the one and window off.

Not hard at all. Just tedious. Took me about an hour for one side then 1/2 hour since I knew what I was going for the next one.
I used this DIY

^^They shouldn't move regardless....I install and uninstall my Mason bar all the time w/o issues.
Most shop owners that I know say that you do not need to realign. My alignment is checked afterward anyway... meaning it's been realigned 3x during the entire prototype and development process. It is up to you imo.
Still have the old one if you are interested, will be putting it up on CL tonight.

Took out my ProSport electric oil pressure gauge due to another failed sending unit. Went to a mechanical gauge. Was going to use one the old ones I had laying around along with existing tubing. One leaked and the other didn't work so I just put in an Equus from AutoZone. My only concern is the coupler up above the passenger foot well.I keep smelling oil, or think I am because the car was idling in a closed garage. I guess I'll just have to drop that panel tomorrow and check.

$1000 later and the car has SPC camber arms, a rear ball-joint upgrade and new bushings for the rear upper inner control arm. I quickly found out after I had the upper control arms off that the tool I was rented, was not the correct tool for the job. I reluctantly paid a shop to do the work. However, they removed the whole rear of my car and confirmed I have no subframe damage. Had I known they were going to remove the rear of my car, I would have bought the subframe bushings and reinforcement plates.
All said and done, my car has had every suspension component replaced or upgraded. The car feels brand new, and handles like it's on rails.
Pulled my steering column and replaced every single bearing and consumable piece. Brand new steering U joint as well. This was an utter nightmare.
For anyone else that wants to do this. For the love of God assemble the entire upper shaft before putting it back in. I left the bearing and back up rings off behind the steering wheel until I was about to button it up. Well. With the column attached and torqued you can not move it out far enough from the new spring at the fire wall to get that snap ring in place.. I always learn the hard way LOL

I've been driving with no radiator fan at all for the last couple months, now that it is hot out I thought I better do something about that. Installed a 16" Spal puller wired to the factory low speed circuit. And also an 80/88C fan switch.
Yes everything is held together with zip ties... This car was 450$ at an auction and now has 288k miles on it.
Also this whole bundle of wires is just hacked off. Quite a few things "deleted" on this thing.

Was really busy this past week. I wasn't sure if I would get time to change my oil and hit the dyno Saturday. Due to low turn out, I was pretty much forced to show up and do a couple pulls even though I didn't change my oil (4 track days, <4k miles, 1 previous dyno session).
The good news, it makes 230whp, but is very lean. Which I also see as good news, because it means I am not done making power on this setup. I see no point in sharing the chart at this time.
Per the recommendation of the shop, no changes to the regulator will be made, & the in tank pump will be replaced with a walbro255. I have always had a questionable feeling about the OEM in tank pump @ 163k, so my hope is that this corrects that issue.
Cleaned up my interior a little more. Removed center console and the rest of the carpets. Need to make/buy a panel to hide all that wiring and mount the window switches, and move some grounds. I'd like the trans tunnel to be really clean. Couldn't remove the boot for the handbrake as I couldn't get the handle off...and I lost the spring for the button. Need to find another one as setting the brake is now a two-hand operation smh. Also finally installed the MKAH floorpans- might take them back out soon to paint them black (bedliner, maybe) and to make a deadpedal.

mslevin, I LOVE everything you've done with and to your car. Great stuff, man.
Does it count as doing something to my car if I really did it to the wheels I plan to put on it?
Picked up the new wheels - yes, ANOTHER set of wheels - from the powdercoater the other day. Since the center caps are plastic he obviously couldn't powdercoat those so, I stopped by one of my old jobs to get a can of paint made up as close as possible to the new silver. Pretty close I'd say. I don't expect it to be 100% match but if it's close enough I can live with it.

Damage control from the track day. Not sure how I managed this

Thanks for the reminder for me to inspect that. Common occurrence with our heavy exhausts + track time.
