You may be right. I'm going direct Dookateh's attention to this thread so he can clarify this. But thanks for your input too. After I receive the samples of the Di-Noc, I'll be better able to determine which to ultimately choose. And those are the links I've perused through as well. Definitely helpful.
Looks like your headed in the right direction, the photos in the first post in this tread made me gag a bit :<
And as for this whole e brake thing...
I've always used the ebrake when parking, even when im on a level surface... I've always thought that's what its for...
Like the "parking brake" pedal on my moms suburban, is the lever in my 5 series not the same thing?
Well, gag no further:
More, better pictures to come later.

Hamann.
How they currently look in the car. The brushed metal trim will complement them and the hand-brake lever more so than the current red:

These are going to complement my brushed aluminum trim quite beautifully:
Tastefully done sir.
It has come a loooong way no doubt. But it's still not complete:
Here's what else I have in mind:
1) OE M5 alcantara everything for the top half, i.e., top shell, pillars, sun visors, handles, etc.
2) My driver's seat is beginning to show its age. All of the other seats are nearly impeccable. So the future might bring with it OE M5 two tone sport seats, red and black.
3) The steering wheel is showing its age, too. I will be purchasing an identical one (probably brand-new) sometime in the future.
That will probably be all. I think.
Have you considered wrapping the lower trim on the steering wheel?

Well, those don't exist anymore lol. But yeah, I could.
As mentioned, I am looking to purchase a new steering wheel, so we shall see what ensues after that.
Installed the OE alcantara headliner.
Because I do not have the rest of the complementing components in alcantara, I did the following (for now):
Plasti-dip'd the grab handles and sun visors.
Painted the A and C pillars and the motion sensor dome with charcoal gray Rust-Oleum vinyl and fabric spray paint. It came out surprisingly well. It matches the alcantara's hue almost perfectly (though not in the below pictures because of flash), and it'd be hard to tell them apart if you didn't touch any of the pieces--the paint stiffens the fabric.
I want to eventually purchase the OE black dome and C pillar lights, the OE alcantara sunroof cover and B pillars. If I can get my hands on the rest of the OE pieces in used but good condition, I'll probably do that with time.
A few night-time pictures; I'll capture the look during the day tomorrow:

The OCD person in me could never deal with having an alcantara headliner... I'd be brushing it with my hands all day trying to get it all uniform.
Looks awesome though, I love how this has come together.

Impressive thread. Keep up the good work! Wish I had your determination with my car's interior. Looking to redo my headliner in a year or two but that is about it.

are you just recovering these pieces with alcantara or are they new pieces?
