18x8.5 wheels on the back of my 1995 m3 with 265/35/18, will that be a problem?

i have 18x8.5" wheels on the back of my 1995 m3.

i have a BONE STOCK suspension setup, i am NOT lowered at all.

will i rub with 265/35/18 tires on the rear?

ill go check the offset on the wheels.

however b/c i am on stock suspensnion, i am NOT tucking at all.

if i am NOT tucking, it's impossible for my to rub right?

You can rub on the inside... Depending on your camber, thrust angle, and the rim offset.

it all depends man....on the car, the offset, the tire (bridgestones run wide), the suspension (softer suspension will travel more), camber, etc...but yeah probably.

18x8.5 all around u should run 235's all around.

You should have a wider rim to run the 265s. I think most tire MFGs recommend 255s as the widest fitment on a 18x8.5" rim. FWIW, I run 255/35s on my Hartges (18x8.5).

That will be a no go. Add passengers back there and you will be all over your fenders. Not pretty. 265s take a lot of work to fit....besides that is a little too big of a tire for an 8.5" rim.

Go with the 255.35.18, you will never be able to tell the difference in width, and you won't have near the rubbing issues (although you will still probably have to roll your fenders)

With 235/40-18's on my 18 x 8.5" CH's, I had to, ahem, encourage my inner fender lip a little for clearance. Keep in mind that the offset on these is a little funky at 35mm...

Hopefully Rasta Mon is right and that you didn't go with the 40's....
