The funny thing about it is that the radiator neck exploded when we test drove it so we had to put in in a trailer to get it home. Let me know what you think.

The M color stitching is in excellent shape as is the leather on the wheel.

    Very cool!

Here's some shots of my work in progress that I took today. Getting ready to fit the bumper back on, replace fender liners, undertray, fog lights and replace the plastic trim pieces... Hey guy this is literally my first forum post ever but I’m extremely active on Facebook. I just recently bought the 98 M3 Feen Coupe on Sonderpulsting and according to the forums it is a 1 of 1. It’s pretty trashed from a couple bad PO’s. I have already built a supercharged M3/4/5 in Estroil Blue so I’m hoping my second time around to really do a great restore/ Build.

Finally got the balls to get tires put on my HREs... Discount did a great job overall with their touch-less machine, although it was a bit disconcerting that they said it was their first time using the machine with the front side attachment piece(?). They also got the tires mixed up on one pair, so they had to dismount, re-mount, and re-balance two of the wheels...at near closing time...arrggg.

With the Dinan springs and the Koni struts, the car was pretty dumped in the rear, you could barely fit a few pieces of paper between the tire and the fender lip. Just added the OEM BMW 14mm upper pad spacer to the existing spacer and it's perfect. I probably should have got a slightly skinnier and lower profile tires, but I was shooting for some sidewall to protect the rims, and also cushion up the ride a little bit. And plus my front to back circumference is within 0.3% which was also part of my plan (not that I have ASC hooked up in this car anyway).

Also, the offset on the fronts is a bit too low for my liking (I mean, I love low offset wheels, but not when they stick out too much)...These wheels are probably slightly better suited for an E30 M3.

Anyway, here is some more Fern Green goodness!

Love it. Its such a great car and glad you kept it.
I think some clears on the car would look really good. The orange corners, yellow fogs, and gold wheels clash a bit.

    - 98 m3, techno/anthrazit cloth, 124k and officially worthless - 89 m3, alpine/black 143k and officially old - 2000 323it, tiag/grey, 169k and officially boring

Thank you brother! It's funny, the car came with clear corners all the way around, but I put ambers on all my green cars... But I do agree with you on the clashing now that the candy bronze HREs are in play... That said I think I'm going to at least ditch the selective yellow glass Depo headlights.

Thanks for the good words - I sold my DS-1's recently, but I do still have the minty Contours which also look pretty good. I'm still having some issues with the HREs too, but I think it's mostly because of the tire profile I chose... I know from a practical standpoint my tire choice is spot-on with regard to performance and circumference uniformity...but for looks, a lower profile tire would have been better.

The headlights are newly manufactured DEPO selective yellow models with Osram bulbs. You should be able to get them easily still. I've never seen a legit French set before, as I think it was no longer a law to have selective yellow since 1991?

Where do you get those Depo selective yellow models?

I've seen (in pics) the authentic Bosch Frenchies. The yellow was a bit darker... I kinda prefer the looks of yours to be honest.

    Thanks!

I got them on eBay I think, so I just checked and found them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/French-Edition-Yellow-Glass-Lens-DEPO-Euro-Projector-Headlight-For-92-99-BMW-E36/122276726058

I would have got the 50% yellow ones if they had them back then: https://www.ebay.com/itm/French-Yell...6/152888809891

Thanks CBlock! I can't believe it didn't sell either... I kept telling people, if they'd just come look at the car in person, they'd fall in love with it. Most sellers want to keep buyers at a certain distance to keep problems from view....but I welcomed the close inspection! Just never had anyone local come look at it. Somebody out of state hit me up a few days ago (who was previously interested in the car a while back). He made a good offer but had to back out the next day due to unfortunate job uncertainties. I still toy with putting it back up for sale (just so I can get my M Coupe in the garage LOL), but it's definitely the car in my collection that gets the most attention. I will be taking it to our local BMW Dealer BMWCCA appreciation day this Saturday, looking forward to trying out the new tires and wheels (still 0 miles on them!).
