It's a tool sold by BMW that they don't even make. And, it's about 1000 percent marked up. No way would I buy a BMW tool that is identical to those made by any number of reputable tool manufacturers (unless money held no value for me).
Then again, if I'm not reusing the joint, I just use a pickle fork attachment on my air hammer. That entire setup (air hammer, chisels, case, pickle fork attachments x3, etc.) cost less than one BMW pickle fork.
If I'm reusing the joints, I use the proper tools (not applicable in this case of course)... something along the lines of this:

That was easier and faster than unearthing the shop crane which is visible in some of the videos, with the added bonus of not being in the way under the car.
While your little puller MIGHT work for the tie rod ends, it absolutely would not work for the control arms or the tension arms, we tried the locally available variants, as well as pitman arm pullers and jaw pullers to no avail. We ended up with my 10 year old pickle fork. We also had the steel inserts pull out of the spindle so they had to be driven back into the spindle after we seperated them from the ball joints.

yeah, updates!
ok boys, got the 245/40/18s (same as the front) fk452s in the back and had the car aligned. So far I can say that car handles very flat and is quite a bit stiffer than H&R/Billy Sport setup, aaaaaand I cant get enough of this stiffness Also you have to realize, I have Eibach sway bars with polyurethane bushings, so that attributes too.
This week we're having an East Coast meet, so Ill try to drive other cars to see how it compares. Next weekend going autoXing with a buddy of mine who has the H&R/Billy sport setup (6speed39m62) so we'll be able to compare the cars even better, cuz I plan on pushing the car to its very limit and beyond during the event.

Orxan4ik,
you say they're stiff. like jarring? or "smooth" stiff?

Nice Vids guys! I completely rebuilt my whole suspension by myself. I decide to install Bilstein Sports and Eibach Pro Kit. The ride is real stiff like running coilovers but toleratable.
3 grown men listening to katy perry's "i kissed a girl and i liked it". im so proud of you guys.
