Hey guys,
I see you guys are looking for a bimmer meet. Check us out...
A few of us in Houston are planning a get-together in Rockdale, TX. We started this last year and it was really cool. The dates are October 22-24th.
Our group is Lone Star Burgers And Fives (as in 5ers). This is the second year we put this together, and this year we have more stuff planned, such as group drives, show and shine, awards, giveaways, lunch/dinner meetings... among other things.
These are the threads both for last years event, and this years.
Yes, it is geared towards 5ers, but we welcome any BMW to our events!
last year:

Thanks Memo for alerting the Austin group.
The event schedule will be handed out on Friday night and Saturday morning as you register.
Check out the current event's thread, http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=80934 , for the most current updates,
especially "what to bring".
Also adding your name to the list in the thread will be a big plus for those of us putting the finishing touches on this thing.
So, come on to Rockdale, but leave the "weird" in Austin.

Sherman, Sr.

How did the drive turn out? I was in Houston for the weekend, but with a little notice I would like to make the next one!
What's going on this weekend Austin?!
What I really mean by the previous question is: Does anyone plan on ordering the UFC fights tomorrow? If so, are you welcoming guests who will chip in money?
Anything going in December? We should have a meet somewhere and grab lunch or something. Would be cool to meet some fellow BFCers. Austin area preferred, but if we set up a cruise somewhere, that'd be cool too.

Hey, I'm new to the forums and looking for local groups like this in Austin! When's the next meet up going to be? I'm entirely down to hit that up!
December is going to be tough with holidays, family, etc. What's up the second weekend in January? Maybe like the 8th or 9th?
Sweet!
It doesn't have to be a huge meet. 6-10 cars is cool too. I'm just talking about getting together and shooting the shit, having lunch, cruise maybe, etc. Just meeting fellow BFCers and talking about BMWs, as usual.
btw, do you still need that scanner? Lmk

With this Friday being Christmas eve and all, will this weeks meet be postponed until December 31st?
Right on. Next weekend (Dec. 30th) maybe?
Nah, I took it to Auto Zone and they told me it was a vacuum leak. I would attempt to find where the leak is buutttt.....
I can't get the hood open because the pricks at the dealership in Utah snapped the cable (probably because it was man-handled; I mean I've never had that big of an issue opening it myself and another person pushing on the front, but I handle it with love). I popped the driver's side corner off and.....the cable was frayed there too from one of the shops it was at in Utah rigging it to open from the cable visible there. I'm screwed and will probably have to take the nose and fender off to replace the cable at this point. I already bought all the components, just have to get the SOB open. I'll worry about it in January.
Thank you, however! Hope your midterms/finals went well.
There hasn't been an 'official' Austin weekly meet in a while. We'll try and get a little something going that weekend though.

Ha, yeah it's the shitz. Thank you, I've been contemplating driving it off a cliff but I suppose a lift and tools might be optimal. As a xmas present my folks are taking it to a shop to see about repairs...we'll see how it turns out.
Austin bimmers- the last weekend of december then?
I'm down
