i have terrible news! today i over revved my 323ic by miss shifting into first, over clocking the engine, i want to know what the worst case scenarios could be... also thinking about s54 swap... but would need further info on that thank everyone hope to hear back!!!
Google "Money shift". What problems are you having with it now?
If it still runs well, you did nothing bad.

it starts up and runs but is very rough and the car shakes
You have bent valves at the minimum. The easiest and cheapest route would be to find a replacement engine. But if you're looking at an S54 swap, look around any local junk yards and start saving up.

I've been doing a lot of research but can't find an engine with 80k or less mine only had 78k
LSx & T56 time
Low-mileage engines are going to be rare items, usually found bolted inside low-mileage cars.
I would look for compression and leak-down tested motors rather than mileage, as even low-milers can be abused.
You have sooo many options for swapping, though!
-> M52, same generation as yours but more displacement, very low cost and plug-n-play.
-> S52, same plug-n-play as M52 but more $ because that cute M-power valve cover brings moar ponies and torques.
-> M54B30, a bargain deal (less $ than S52) for gobs of torque and tunability, and there are wiring adapter kits to make it near plug-n-play.
-> S54, $$$ but far closer to bolt-in than the V8s or Japanese turbo 6s.
-> The aforementioned LSx, much aftermarket support for this.
-> Coyote Ford V8, dare to be different
-> 1JZ/2JZ/RB30, make it sing
Eat, drink, and be merry - for tomorrow we drive.

And the M52 in my car had 115K when it got pulled from the donor car. Still runs strong. Even the 204K motor that it replaced it (due to a fail-tastic miss-shift) ran strong.
Also once you do settle on a motor, replace any gaskets that might be hard to get to once the motor is in (oil pan gasket & oil filter housing gasket if you go the M52/S52 route).
