I have the opportunity to buy a very clean 2002 M5 with the Dinan S2 package. Car has under 50K miles and looks to have been well cared for. Can someone give me an idea of a good price for this? Also, does anyone know the reliability of these cars with the Dinan add ons? Thanks!
Its a BMW to start so reliability almost goes with out saying. As for having Dinan modes, shows the owner spent some money on high quality parts. You will get it once you drive a moded car as opposed to a stock one. A Dinan S2M5 is always a good choice, IMHO that is. Also, any pics??

M5's take some serious coin to maintain in perfect running condition, I.E. mass air flow sensors going bad costs 350-500 dollars. In terms of reliability with the dinan upgrades, Dinan's goal was to tune the car without affecting their usual reliability. There arent too many Dinan M5 owners cruising this forum, you might have some better luck finding advice on a good offering price on m5board.

For a mint 2002 M5 S2 with 50K miles I would pay around $30K-32K. Make sure it's a full S2, that means it has the $8000 headers.
