Wet Trunk?

It has been raining cats n' dogs in my area over the last several weeks. I just opened the trunk in my 00' Roadster. A jacket I had in there is damp and the trunk smells slightly of mildew. I do have a very small chip missing from the top left corner of my passenger side tail-light and I know some cars are famous for trunk leakage through tail-lights (such as Hondas). Is there any well known issues with trunk leakage in the Z3 or is it as simple as my tail-light chip? I have owned three Z3 roadsters (1996 1.9, 2001 2.5 & a 2000 2.8) and none ever had this type of leak, which leads me to believe it is most likely the tail-light. Any thoughts or info?
