1999 M3 Harmon Kardon Speaker Replacement Help

I have a 1999 BMW M3 (I was told it was the e46 but I'm not sure) I blew out the front speakers and I've been having trouble even finding the correct size to replace them let alone actual speakers. I have the Harmon Kardon system. I'm not looking for anything expensive, just something that works. Anyone have any info on any of this?

First off, its an E36... you'll have better luck finding info looking for that. Second, which front speakers? The little door tweeters, or the larger actual door speakers? Literally any car stereo shop has direct replacements, or you can get the H/K replacements from BMW if you have a vast ca$$h flow

It sounds like you are looking for a simply speaker replacement which we can help with! We have the drivers that are matched and fit. I actually use them in my 99 M3 with Harmon Kardon.

Do you know which actual speakers are blown? I am assuming the front door speakers are buzzing?

After searching and searching, I decided to revive an oldish thread.


What are the speaker sizes for an HK setup?

I have a 95 M3 that has a 2"? tweeter, a 3.5"? mid directly under the tweeter (both in the door panel) and then the 5 1/4"? in the kicker panel?


I have new tweeters installed already. I need to know what the mid and the woofers are so I can replace those too.
