318is Cap off vacuum port on injector?

Anybody ever cap off the vacuum port on the 1/94 and newer m42 fuel injectors? If you have to ask what I am talking about, you haven't done it.
I am asking, because my lines are cracked and old, causing a vacuum leak. They are formed hoses, and don't want to dink around with putting bulk hosing on them. To make it worse, two local dealership parts guys couldn't find the lines on thier computer. But if it will cause major problems, I won't do it. I know it's only for smog, so can't be all that important for NORMAL operation
The 1993 and earlier injectors don't have air shrouds, and neither do the 6 cylinders.
    Thanks.... Todd

I wouldn't assume that just because just because the earlier 318s and I6s don't have vac lines going to the injectors that things will be perfectly normal with them capped off. However I did it and my car seemed to run fine for years, but I don't know what it did if anything to my AFR, emissions, MPG, etc.
