17x9", 17x8.5" light weight track wheels APEX ARC-8

UPDATED: wheels have arrived and readily available. (Only 3 sets of matte black left)

I don't like polluting the classified section with new wheel sales, but I thought people may want to know about a wheel that was developed for the track guys.

These wheels are 17x9" et42. They are have roll forged barrels which brings their weight down to 16.6lbs. The ARC-8 was designed as a new track wheel that still has an aesthetic design that people prefer on a BMW.

JOIN OUR GROUPBUY!!! $259 a wheel with FREE shipping to the 48 states

The wheels are available in 4 colors:
    • Motorsport Silver
    • Hyper Silver
    • Hyper Black
    • Matte Black
    • Antracite (new)

The wheel is also available in a custom 17x8" et20 fitment for the E30 M3!!

They'll be around after the GroupBuy, just won't have the free shipping discount, and hyper colors will cost an extra $10

    Current offsets are 17x9" et42 and 17x8" et20, but there will be a 17x8.5" et40 and 17x8" et38.

Can you elaborate on what exactly "roll forged barrels" are? Do you just take a cast wheel spin it while compressing the barrel? Would the 17x8 et 20 wheels be included in the deal?

"Roll Forging" and "Flow Forming" have been used interchangeably, and some other vendors have come up with their own name for the process. Volk and Enkei do a similar process and call it "MAT technology". BBS also flow forms a number of their wheels including their RC wheel.

Basically the mold for the wheel is shaped more like a bell instead of a standard barrel. The metal starts off really thick. The wheel is preheated, and then placed into the flow forming machine which spins the wheel, then the barrel under heat and pressure from large disks is rolled out into it's final shape.

so now that these bad boys aren't GB material anymore, how much would it be for say a set of hyperblacks with the motorsport stamping? is that even offered?

No pics mounted with tires yet as all my samples are different colors and sizes.

Now that the groupbuy is over there is no free shipping and the hyper colors are an extra $10. The initial price is still $259 for the 17x9" size.

There is no motorsport stamping. You must be looking at the few letters that are on that matte black pie wedge sample. That is not the ARC-8 wheel at all. It is just some random mesh 15" wheel that factory paints and slices up to send out for color confirmation. Sorry for the confusion.

    Do it. <3

Any chance we could get them produced in a slightly lower offset? Maybe something along the lines of a 20-25 with a little more concave?

These are track wheels, so unless there is an e46 m3 rear fitment produced (which would probably be 9.5-10" wide) the rest will all be high offset wheels. Low offset guys stretch their tires, and these wheels do not cater to that market as fitment cannot be guaranteed.

    I wouldn't be stretching tires.

But I understand. Regardless, if an 18" variant is produced I'll likely be one of the first in line.
