part identification

What is the part number or name of that brake dust shield thats behind the rotor assembly?

I searched alloembmwparts and bavauto and couldn't find anything. If you could also tell me where to buy them I would appreciate it.

There isn't a BMW dealership anywhere near me

Is that for the front or rear? Is it possible to put use the front plates in the rear? I told bavauto that I wanted the rear but I think they sent me the fronts. They are making a horrid noise and I'm going just leave them off if I can't get the ones I have on.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise you had rear disc brakes as well but you didn't specifiy front or rear so..

thats ok. I should have been more specific. I ordered both anyway. It turns out the fronts were on backorder so I received the backs in time to do the install this weekend. I didn't realize how much you had to take off to get to that plate.

Got it installed w/o a problem and no more scraping sound.
