Expert help - can you identify these headlights

Hi Im a newbie and I bought these 2 headlights off of ebay 2 nights ago.
but now looking at them again, I think i bought the wrong thing.
the sellers post was unclear and it was a last minute bid and i thought
i was getting a super deal. $22 + 20 for shipping. Can any one identify
this and is there anyway i can use these.

Those are E36 headlights.

They obviously didn't know what they were selling. 5 series headlights and 7's are differrent, as are 3 series.....and on and on.
