Hi!
Altough I'm a member here for nearly a year, I was rather a rare visitor... (Sorry for that!)
Today I followed a link from Harry (8Harry8), from the german 8 Series Forum and saw that he posted my 850Ci "Shooting Brake" images.
Judging by the comments, seems like some of you liked those pictures, so maybe you are also intrested to see another one:
Normally I work as a 3D modeller (unfortunately no longer for GM/Opel) but sometimes I do 2D stuff like this just for fun.
Like Harry, I also live in Germany and have an 840Ci and a 540iA (E34).
Best Regards,
Steve
cool job steve
for my taste, the roofline drops down too far at the rear
but... lol...this is the first 8 series, i see with room for passengers on the rear seats
but again...great job

Thanks for sharing, Could i have somemore?
An interesting idea, I like the estate look, a little like the old Lynx Eventer job on the Jaguar XJS. The roof line on this latest one looks like 3 or 5 series, works quite well
Shoot I want one!! In Laguna Green Metallic
Hi Steve! Nice to meet you here too! Nice nick IŽd say !
Ladys ans gentlemen, let me introduce Steve as the master of designdreams dealing with 8-series(for me)!
What you should know: Steve is a fan of Aston Martin and Fisker - like me - an the roof design of Rainers "Touring" remembers to the Aston shooting breakes of the well known Sultan of Brunei...
Hi Harry! Thanks for the kind words!
As Harry said, I'm a fan of Aston Martin cars (nearly bougth a DBS V8 instead of the 840Ci) and I found those Shooting Brake conversions always very interesting.
They are not the prettiest but certainly one of a kind cars...
I think an 8 series would lend itself perfectly for such a (real) conversion, thoug the huge roof and tiny pillars would pose some challenges.
It would be nice to see what Roos Engineering would do with an E31.
Best Regards,
Steve
i like it. and just as i said, there is room in the back for a human being, for a first.
you should have been designing this car in the first place
Leg room.
