225k Original Transmission, engine was replaced due to nikasil.
1994 530iA
A little over 230,000mi '92 M30, I'm second owner have had the car about 4 months now. Original owner over heated it, but no engine damage I have noticed.
Replaced fan clutch, thermostat, and radiator. In the process of changing the upper and lower arms, swaybar end links and axle support (front subframe)(pot holes are horrible in Northeast PA). Heater don't work, but defrost throws plenty of heat, A/C doesn't work either.
I have also replaced center console window switch, A/M trans switch.
Auto Trans and Motor are original as far as I know. Runs like a champ, however does smoke a little in the winter weather for about 10 minutes until the engine warmed up, but then goes away 100%. No smoke now in the summer.
Still need to replace original front/rear shocks, front/rear brakes/rotors/brake lining sensors (which happens to be the only Error displayed on dash), and maybe the oil pan gasket.
Almost forgot, changed headlights to euro projectors from us spec (non-smily).
I bought mine with 198,XXX on it and just went over 200K this morning and I have no idea about the engine or tranny but so far there are OK.

Just bought my E34 525i/5 with 189,500. M50TU Runs strong and smooth so far. Planning on Seafoaming at the next oil change in 2K miles.
Original transmission and [I believe] clutch are a little sloppy. Getting a slight grind shifting into 1st while in motion. Still on the fence about which fluid to use to hopefully remedy this. I'm also thinking transmission mounts, guibo, shifter bushing kit and new clutch eventually (can you say "tax return?" haha).
I'm up over 313,000 now.... Recently replaced the fuel pump.. if it was original the designers should give themselves a pat on the back if not I still put more milage on it in three years than it had when I bought it... oh and new rear shock mounts ,wheels balanced and an alignment .. Aside from paint issues and a few minor fizes which don't affetct driving it still perfroms well.. gas milage even with newish fuel pump, filters, air filter, lubro-moly 5w40 oil, new Denso iridium plugs, intake reseal w/ new intake man cover, new coil boots is still disapointing .. averaging uaually around 16 mpg mixed highway city BUT I do drive it pretty much as agressively as I can .. so yes if I drive at 55 I can get around 22 mpg on the high with cruise control on but come on,lol.. so whether this means serious ring wear I can't say... is a ring job worth the money in an engine with 210K on it?

192k
4th cylinder low compression
i will ride it till it dies then swap in a M50TU
buddy of mine just bought a really clean bronze-it 535i manual with well over 300k.
Might as well chime in:
m30 Original Gangster with her 235k birthday last week.
Just broke 200k on my mine (original tranny and engine) about a month ago. Runs strong!
My 540 has 205K on the clock, it does however have the factory replaced motor in it and that was done at 96K. I just finished my Mobile 1 oil change a few minutes ago and its time to take her for a spin.
Just bought my first 525i clocked in at 227,000.....should I be scared?
Mine "only" has 190,000.
i have 86,325 on my 94 e34 525i. i bought it almost 2 yrs ago with 78,000. It isn't even broken in yet compared to everyone else.
just broke 170k today as for gas mileage... i've gotten up to 30mpg traveling at 55mph.. has pics to prove it
My 90' 535i is at 140 miles right now , which comes up to about 220km. My dad was pretty surprised at how well it runs seeing as how his car (A Hyundai, i know xD) has 195km and is about to die
Mine has at least 207k on it, and that is not including the year it was driven with a dead coding chip. Though it reads 148xxx now...
Edit: when I bought it, I did the entire cooling system, a HG, rocker arm shafts, 2 valves etc. And I also had an input bearing die on the original diff.
287k on my 540i. It's got the Alusil replacement, so not sure about the exact mileage of the engine (assuming the engine has like 210-250 on it or so). Runs like a champ, getting tired of the sloppy steering though.
222k
244K now, average mpg is 26 @ 75mph.
just about to break 280k miles. only 1k on the 4.4l swap though.
92' 535i/5spd here. 204k, Orginal drivetrain, pulls, runs and drives like new. One of BMW's best made cars IMO.
