The 535i is sitting at 396100km right now. I just replaced a couple coolent hoses and the fan clutch. I need to put in a new starter soon. Far as I can see the head was done at one point in its life. I'm probably going to do the head gasket this summer because it has a slight leak now from me beating on it hard. I drive this car when its -20 to -35C outside so it cant be to great on it but its doing fine.
First gear grinds if I try to put it in it to fast. It started happening after putting in synthetic ATF. The colder weather and being easy on it solved the grinding for now but once it warms ill have to put in something thicker. The clutch was done about 10k ago. Not sure if it was ever replaced before.
Weak...... 1992 525i with 4 speed slush box. Calypsorot with tan. I have over 400k on mine with only minor failures in the past. Whole front end replaced, bushings, struts etc. Water pump was only mechanical failure. Motor has never been opened up. Runs like a top, will still do 120 mph and got 31 mpg on a recent 2000 mile trip. She's getting pretty crusty though with some peeling paint and fading leather. Greatest car ever though. Picture is old, actually has 408,653 right now. BTW pretty new to the forum, appreciate all the great tips on here.
Scratch on the picture evidently not allowed to post attachments here. Need to loosen up the forum a little. No custom avatar until 100 posts?
1995 525i. 242,500. 5 spd. Only thing I know was replaced was the radiator.
red zits 535i has 360,000 miles

240,082 miles on a M50tu. I have only changed oil and replace valve cover gasket.
Wow! These #s are certainly encouraging to this NEW 530i owner!!
I guess mine is just now getting broken in at 176,xxx miles. Only 90,xxx miles on the "new" Alusil short block!

201xxx on my M50. Normal oil changes, coolant flushes, w/pump, t/stat etc etc. I replaced the trans in my first year of ownership since I was going to a tech school and had access to a lift, that was at ~140K, also replaced clutch and RMS at that time. No leaks since, going to be doing another guibo and VCG soon enough. Engine/trans/diff are mint, suspension is another story
This thread makes me really happy! Comparing my mileage to all my friends with the normal fords, chevys, hondas, ect. I always end up having the highest. Everyone thinks my car is on the verge of blowing up and never believes me when I tell them it runs like the day it was bought.
Hearing numbers over 250k just makes me smile. I just rolled over to 174k today and loving hearing that I may have another 4 years or more with this great machine.
(Original fuel pump @ 168k, original water pump @ 171k)

255561k original slush box transmission engages slowly into reverse and motor taps which I am told is not fixable. Other than that runs good. Driven daily!

just hit 180,000kms (113k miles). Seems like a lot to me but a lot of you guys have more than double that.
204k on my m50TU Original everything. 5 speed swap though...so...That may change things. but stock motor no probs
i'm such a noob, i haven't even hit 200k yet and my car's an '88
You're right down the road from me... I'm in Harrisburg! My 95 540i/6 just rolled over 250,000. Engine replaced at 60k under warranty, no other major repairs, although a clutch is coming soon... getting a little slippy. 3rd gear syncro is bad, I may open the trans and replace all of them when I do the clutch. Other than that, just basic wear and tear service.

There is a guy on one of the forums(this?) who has a touring he claims is over 500k. Supposedly did taxi duty
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
207K miles and still truckin strong.....M30 baby! Hands down, the best motor BMW ever made.
Original m20 never rebuilt, and original 5 speed never rebuilt neither.
Slushbox M50, whopping 103k
I must have one of the lowest mileage E34's on here at 87k miles.
I am just over 295,500 so less than 5 k away from 300,000 engine swapped @98,000 in 1999
