Here's how NOT to track your BMW

Go to this website www.driftunderground.com and click on the forums. Then to Minnesota. It should be something under "james R.I.P. Good thing is he walked away. Sorry, I don't know how to link.

James(KILRBEE) is a member on this board and thankfully, he walked away unscathed. It really is a shame that the car is totalled. It started life as a Dinan S2 I believe, and was somewhat rare Dakar Yellow/Black M3/4. James turned it into a dedicated track car over the winter with the help of Matt at Orr.
I had the opportunity to run right behind James at a track event a couple of weeks ago.

    It was quite a car...

Ben, there's a chance that the motor and drivetrain from KB will end up in the 325i...

Jason, did you see the post on Vortex???

oh no! I actually have met him a few times at our Minnesota meets with the last being about 2 weeks ago when he was telling us all to go to this track event...his car is really nicely modded. I've got tons of pics of his car BEFORE it was all messed up.

Killrbee, I can feel your pain especially after all that work you put into it, but I'm just glad you or anyone else wasn't hurt.

Actually one of our lube guys put me on to the site. I didn't hear about it until just this past Friday. So the 325 may have a donor? Where are you going to tackle that? Need help?

I'd love to help so just let me know when. Is James getting another car to track or is he going to take it easy for awhile? How did you fare at the track with him?

Hahaha, that's pretty funny that it's your old car. I haven't seen it yet but heard that it's really clean. From what I know of Bob, it'll be done right and run perfect.

I was about to call this a repost. Then I saw that it was another one from the red one that has been up here a few times.

ummm....probably not since it was a track event-most insurance companies don't like it when you race your bmw indy style. Usually you sign waivers before an event like this so that the owner of the vehicle has all the responsibilty

Yeah I don't think insurance will cover stuff like that. Personally if you can't afford it, don't track it.
