Wow you are moving along like a speeding bullet. did you have all extra parts and have them all ready to go? or did you use the original parts. Nice work I'm enjoying the pics.

If you are interested in Putting in A/C or modernized your A/C in your 2002. I have the perfect bracket modeled after the original Clardy Rotary bracket. It fits all models even tii. I have made some improvements on the original design by deleted the rubber bushings that needed replacing every other year also made it smaller and lighter. No pulley needed because the compressor acts as the tensioner for the v-belt. These are all new brackets and adjusting arms and spacers included along with all the bolt sizes you will need.
I've been grinding and cleaning all the original parts. My friend painted everything. As for all the suspenson parts you see on the car, only the springs and shocks are new. I bought a set of Bilstein shocks and the Bavarian Autosport Springs from www.BavAuto.com. Everything else is original and has been reworked. Glad your liking it. Thank you.

My 1602 race car build thread.
Spent the weekend working on the rest of the body panels. They are all white now, however, I didn't get pictures of the white yet. Here are some pics of the body work. More to follow...

As you can see from the previous pics, I did have some body work that was needed. Mostly on the doors. They all came out looking great. Here are pics of the panels in primer.

I have some more panels put back on the car. I will try and get pictures up tonight or tomorrow. Doors are hung, fenders are back on, I have a new truck mounted battery box and shock tower brace. Wait till you see it. I love it. Stay tuned...

My mechanic made a new trans bracket and redid the trunk mount battery box and shock tower brace. I love the new brace. Looks way better than what I had.

Doors and fenders have been hung. Hood and Trunk lids are ready to go. Maybe I'll get them on this weekend. Also, my Painless Universal trunk mount wire harness has been laid out as well. I'm getting very excited. Projecting completion in about a month or so. We'll see what happens.

The Painless Performance Wiring kit I bought is a universal kit typically for street rods. It's a 12 circuit kit / non GM keyed column. I bought mine from a local dealer for just under $400. Lots of work getting everything hooked back up. A full wiring job. That is all I know. I just bought what my buddy wanted me to.
You should check this out at, www.painlessperformance.com.

Looking SWEET!
The wheels I have are DOTZ brand wheels. I'm assuming they are 15x7. Like I said, I have the 195/50 series tires. Right now the car will stay white as is. It's a PPG white epoxy sealer. My friend has had no problems with this product in the past. He's painted several cars like this in black. Mine is the first white, so it's a bit of an experiment. I'll leave the wheels and caps silver and just get some BMW logos for the center. Should be good to go! Thanks.

More wiring has been done. Trunk and rear of car is pretty much complete. Gas tank is mounted. Everything is coming along just right.

Thanks to Jim @ Noble Glass in Little Canada, MN. Great job on the install! It's amazing how much shape that glass can add to the car.

That is a great location for the fuse box and relays! When I get around to re-wiring mine, I think I will do that.
Progress looks awesome!
Thank you very much for the compliment. I thought it was a really neat idea. Not only does it really clean out the engine bay, it gives it that race car styling that I'm going for. Plus the weight of that battery is right over my diff. When you do get to the re-wire, please note that my harness is a 'trunk mount' kit that comes with really long wires. Thanks again.
I hope everyone else is enjoying this build.
