Glad to see you back Dan
Good luck findin a car sir! I'm glad to see you back in the game.
I like the sig pic!
Good luck finding a suitable car for the motor. 500whp is going to be a lot of fun.
I would think Mr. Nick Glantzis could find a way to keep it OBD2 compliant, pass emissions in NC, and squeeze out 500rwhp. I would keep it.
twin turbo the 540?
Bump, did you find a chassis? Is it turbo yet?
Welcome back.
I miss your old thread.
You should use the cams from your S52 in your built motor instead of the 2.8L cams. Good luck in your build.

Check out John's dynos, S52 cams are better period.
The S52 cams will help with making power, more power is always better right?
Very good comparison between his 2 dynos. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...54&postcount=1
It's really all up to you.

I am sooo excited to see you using a sick turbo with the OBX top mount manifold. Wahooo! A proper testing right thur!
Waiting for more pics.
I did that for a long time with my tec 3R setup. I simply had to go with the coils needed due to the valve cover I used. I went from OBDI valve cover to OBDII when I switched to the vanos m52 head, but the OBDII one I had was plastic and started melting on the edges = no bueno. So I went back to OBDI valve cover and had to change back to OBDI coils, yet was using the OBDII engine harness the entire time.
No idea regarding stock DME though.
Hey I see your ground/sanded the powder off the lid. Did you sand the bolt area out? If so, I did the same thing, and it leaked. My suggestion would be to get a new lid and not touch the area where the sealing washer goes. I thought I was awesome for using a dremel w/ sanding disc since it fit in there perfectly... but apparently that wasn't flat and it leaked like a turd.
How else would you get powdercoating off of it?

It just looks shinier than if it were taped but whichever!!! Good luckz!
Subscribed just to see how that manifold does... power and reliability wise.
