Totally changed my mind about that thing. Looks sick! Keep it all black.
Where did you find it? I'm sure you answered it but I didn't see it..

nice mod
All black is nicer unless you mold it and paint it. Black covers up the lines and the wide space gives it a more flowing appeal.
Hopefully I will learn how to vacuum mold soon at my school and fabricate one of these myself!
WTB: E36 ZKW Headlights, ACS Rear Diffuser,E36 M mudflaps front + rear
I am in the process of buying the molds of both the CF rear diffuser and the CF front lip. In the next week or so I will be driving down to pick up the molds and in a few weeks or so I should be able to have a few of both the rear diffuser and front lip made. the molds are very expensive so I am trying to gauge the interest for these parts. these parts should cost quite a bit less than a real ACS diffuser or lip because I plan to use two layers of carbon fiber cloth and a few layers of fiberglass behind it to reinforce it. this will keep both of our cost down, still give the carbon fiber look and will have better fitment since the full CF lips are a lot stiffer. the CF real diffusers will not have any black section and the whole outside of the diffuser will be CF. I am also going to try to fabricate another CF diffuser with the same shape but that will have CF fins that hang off the bottom much like the ones on this mustang rear diffuser. If I see there is a large enough interest I might be able to do a group buy for each part with reduced prices. Thanks -Nate

^Potential thread jack but I am interested in said knockoff, assuming its well-made.
ya. I am not trying to jack ethirtysixxmiii's thread at all, this was just the thread that people had interest and opinions on these pieces so it seemed like a good place to start. I will definitely be doing my best to keep the quality of the parts as high as possible. I have not done too much work with CF, I mostly deal in fiberglass, but my partner has been doing CF work for years and used to teach composites at a local college. I trust that the pieces should be well made.
leave it all black!
I want pics

Sorry to revive this almost ten years old thread. I have the same carbon fiber AC Schnitzer exterior parts on my M3 but I am having a tough time finding spare parts.
Would be very appreciative of any info to a new or used AC Schnitzer carbon fiber rear diffuser for the E36 M3.
Thanks in advance!
Jon
