Honestly can't say I've ever heard anything good about Safelite, I'd look around some more if I were you. A friend of mine recently had Safelite replace the rear window on his E36 and he was not too happy with his experience. For one thing, they came to his house 3 times and didn't do any work. The first time they just came out just to let him know that they would need to order special window seal parts. (no sh*t, it's an 18 year old BMW) The other times they didn't do any work because he wasn't there, even though they knew that and said it would be ok. After they finally did the work, the rear defroster lines were coming off of the glass within a couple of months. Granted, he didn't get OEM glass but still terrible service.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have decided to have it done at Reggie's so I feel comfortable with them managing the replacement.

Anyone looking for a Euro section 1 for an E46 M3? I am selling one and want to see if there's any local interest before I bother with trying to ship it. PM me if interested.

Dakar m3 at 116th and Rangeline rd. Anybody know him? I see him on my way to work damn near every day. Good looking car!
I'm gonna have to join the cars and coffee one of these days. I just gotta get some funds to get my 328 sorted out first. Anybody know of a decent body shop in Indy? I've got about 3 really small spots of rust and my drivers side rear fender is starting to :/
Would anyone happen to have a spare LCM for an E39? My car is doing weird things with the interior lighting and I'd like to try a known good LCM if I could. Here's my thread.

Just picked up a '83 320is / E21, any other E21 owners around Indy???
Long time Bimmerfester checking in from Westfield. Discovered this site as I was shopping for an 8er. Excited to say she just arrived last week! Dropped her of at Ress downtown for a full check up before I put some miles on her.
Any get togethers any time soon?

Hello all,
I moved from Chicago to West Lafayette, Indiana a month ago for school. I bought a 2008 335 from Perillo chicago which was the worse experience I ever had... any way few weeks a go my "service soon engine" light turned on. My shop at Chicago told me some modifications has been done on the car such as exhaust catalyzer is removed and that might be the reason I got my light on. I just hit 21k miles few days ago and around same time. I prefer to not drive my car so far so I was wondering if you know a good BMW shop/person at Indianapolis (which is one hour away from my house) or around my area.
Thanks!
I would recommend calling Dan from Ress Motorworks @ 317.635.3201. They only work on Bimmers, but are an Indy shop. @ 21k miles, your 335 is just getting warmed up and you should be having fun with her!
Any way, tell Dan that Zach sent you and he will take good care of you.
I assume the code is the post-catalytic converter o2 sensor. If the cats have been removed, the only way I've heard of to get rid of the light (Aside from obviously getting new cats) is to get a couple of these:
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ouler/_/N-25px
Drill one out & screw it on to the o2 sensor. Screw the second one onto that one. Then mount the whole assembly back into the bung in the exhaust.
So you have basically this:
Exhaust<--non-fouler<--drilled non-fouler<--o2 sensor
This will trick the o2 sensor into thinking there's still a cat. Takes a drill, a vice, 20 minutes & $12. Again, that is unless you want your cats reinstalled.
I've excellent results with Rick Vaughn, at Vaughn Motorwerks, in Zionsville.

Hello all. New guy here from Fort Wayne. When is the next meet?
Spotted a black E39 M5 (looked to be an '00) a few times around Greenwood. Anyone on here?
I used to live in FW. There are a few BMW enthusiasts around there but not many. Maybe check FortWayneMuscle.net to see if anything local is going on, although the site has been pretty dead lately.
