Hey everyone I was just wondering if there is anyone in Indiana or Indianapolis with a turbo-ed E36 or E30.
Does anyone near Indy or Columbus or anywhere in between have the RTAB tool that I can rent/borrow? I don't need it right away as I'm still waiting for a few more parts, but I will need it in the next few weeks. I also need the rear ball joint tool if anyone has that as well.

Well I done alot of research on my engine setup I am thinking of going with m50 block, m52 crank prob gonna get m52tu28, 8:5:1 forged pistions 84.5 mm Or 9:0:1 Forged pistions, 135mm,forged rods, stock gasket, s50 cams or stock cams idk yet. But i have been talking to Cam aka highboostingm3 pretty much a bmw turbo guru and he suggest going with a s52 crank and 85mm bore but just for the cost effectiveness and all i would prob go with the m52 easier to find and also cheaper but what do you think of the build imma start.
I vote for an m52 8.5:1 s52 cams. It's a proven solid setup. I'm running this setup couldn't be happier. When you run the an m52 with the stock crank, you don't have to worry about different size main bearings and whatnot. I'll be out there soon with my 328 boosting 20psi.

Yea thats what alot of people are going with i just wanted to get some insight on what a few people think cuz we have 93 everywhere out here pretty much and on 116th street in fisher i think you can get like 94 octane gas. But hopefully be the time you get here ill have the parts to do the build. bout to start a new job after being laid off for a few months been itchin to work on my car lol. And how much whp u getting and what is your setup.
I'm hoping you guys have some e85 stations around there. If so, I'm shooting for around 650 to the ground. Try to save as much as you can. When it comes to building motors and boosting these cars, it goes like the old saying " you have to pay to play"

Oh we have plenty around here theres some on alisonville rd in fishers and growing around indy but its usually select stations. Yeah I know ive been saving to build the engine. Im thinking of going with the Borg Warner s362 with a .88 a/r t4 scroll turbo. I wanna do a top mount but i might just change that depending on how big the turbo is but i have a holset hy35 for now just to start lol i know small turbo but hey i got it for like 30 buck and still gotta rebuild it and get it balanced. But once tax season comes around ill have a good 3 grand to blow so that will go for some good parts but my main concern is to build the engine to where if i wanna put 600 to 700 to the ground i dont have to worry about blowin the engine.
Keep saving that money. Depending on machine shops costs out there, a fully built motor is going to run you about 4k. That's just the motor. Haven't heard too much about the Borg Warner turbos. You can always keep your eye out for a smoking deal on a Garrett or precision turbo later down the road. My setup is an m52 punched out .20 over, cp pistons, k1 rods, s52 cams, stock thickness cometic mls with arp 2000's. I oringed my block in prep for 30+ psi. Gt35r, tail 38mm, synapse bov. Made my own 3" exhaust.

I saw a jet black e92 M3 entering the O'hare airport yesterday with Purdue plates on the car.
Unfortunately I was in a black lexus Rx330, not my M3. I'm glad to know that fellow Boilermakers also have good choice in cars!

Hey all, New to the Greenwood area. Just wanted to say hey. Working on my slightly beat up Boston Green M3 right now. Had it about a year, but just got out of college and got a big boy job so now its time to throw some money at it and have some fun! Any local guys see me on the street throw me a wave. Maybe a meet up somewhere would be cool.
Anyone from southeast Indiana? Vevay, Lawrenceburg, or Aurora?
Anyone on north side if Indy ?
