Really. How recent? the one on 16th in Indy?
Looks nice. I have always liked those. Certainly don't see many of the 4000's anymore.
Crap. I'm still searching for a few pieces. Appreciate the update.
It's been a while but I'm looking for some parts help here in Indy. Have an '06 X3 and need a couple of retaining clips off the sill in on top of the rear bumper. BMW wants me to buy a new sill and doesn't appear to sell the clips separately. Anybody know a source in town where I can go for a wreck or two? Thanks.

Swung by his shop today. Nice guy. He sure like his E30's. I need to do some research regarding my motor, then I will probably be taking my car there for a rebuild or possibly a swap to a 3.5.
Thanks for the lead.
Any big indy meets planned yet for this year?

I was there around the same time. Was that you I tried running over when I was leaving? I was in my Volvo wagon backing out.
Right now it looks like my head might be cracked. Just doing the head will probably be about the same price I can find a good running 3.5 for. So the performance increase makes the choice pretty easy.
From what I have found out so far looks like the B34 motor fits the same motor mount and bolts to my 265. I want to stay carbed instead of FI. That is my only last things I need to figure out(distributor and fuel pump).
Hi there fellow Hoosiers, I just found this thread while trying to catch up with everybody here. Good to see some Indiana boys (gals too?) representing. I read the forums several times in the last year because of Bimmer fever and wanted to gleam some wisdom before buying. I bought a Honda early last summer but it just didn't satisfy the fever. So, I sold it a couple of months ago and have been saving and looking for my first Bimmer. I have been combing our local cl listings but just haven't anything tempting. Looking for 3 series including m3 price range of 3-6k. I'm look forward to getting to know all of ya. Dave
KyleM3,
you got my attention. What condition is the motor? Miles? More information please.
Thanks,
Chris
I have owned it for about a year and picked it up down in GA. Most of the time it has spent at the bodyshop or upholstery shop.
post more pics of the bavaria
Here's a link to pictures. There is also a sub-album from when the car was at the bodyshop. I think that has 108 pics in it. They were taken from when they first got the car to when they finished all the repair/repaint.
I now have the beltline trim back on, but haven't got the rocker trim on yet.

thats really cool stuff, I love old old bimmers. So what was it about the car that made you want it/restore it? if you ever need help with anything let me know. Im about to crack into the 5 series tomorrow and put a 2.5 head on a 2.7 block hurray for 2.8 stroker
Funny thing is when I was a lot younger a guy down the street from me had two. I thought they were the ugliest cars, and couldn't understand why anybody would want one.
His cars were bone stock with the steel wheels and dog dish hub caps.
I love e28's, but wanted something even older. I was searching for an e12, and came across a picture of a Bavaria that was lowered, and running on 17" wheels.
That did it for me. The perfect blend between classic and unique in my mind. I knew I had to have one. I chose this car because it was already lowered and had a 5 spd conversion done as well. To top it off, it was a rare color. An original Turkis car. Only done a couple of years and I think just 2 or 3 models, Bavaria and 2002 and possibly the CS's.
Not something you see on every corner.
you just think youre sooooooooo special haha
Yeah, short bus special.
So are there any indy meets or anything? Or just short bus meets?
