We should have a meet sometime here in Indianapolis, maybe this spring? Would be pretty awesome to
hey Venom, two LS swapped FDs? Sometime tells me you would have been a tad envious of my FC as soon as the hood was popped. Not many got the stones to pull off a 20B-REW sleeper that made V8s blush...

Indianapolis cars and coffee has their 2020 schedule posted on FB. Just need to pick a weekend and can meet up there. I can bring the 6 series to one. The RX may be in paint still this spring.
Also talking about dents above in this thread. I got one of those hot glue gun dent removal kits and it works pretty good. I pulled a few dents out of my RX7 already and got one out of my wifes bmw. I need to go after the dents in my 650 now.
We got like 3"-4" of snow last night so I had to drive the Excursion today.

Anyone in Indy available to lend a hand with a small project in the next week or so? I need to add the last 1 1/2 quarts to my E38's transmission, but my hands are too big to reinstall the 5HP24's fill plug with the engine running.

Hello my Bimmer Family! New to the forum's here but have had my 2000 e46 328i since 2018. Idk how to upload pics on here yet but I'll figure it out soon hopefully! Spent only $1950 on her. Got it for a steal! Did need a lot of love though. And oh do I show her love! Shes beautiful now. I'll never buy anything else. Ever! I'm in Northern Indiana in South Bend. Would like to see if anyone has parts or "goodies" they are willing to part with and help contribute to my only love in life! Haha. But seriously anything would help. I don't have a ton of money but can work something out. Work has been super slow just making bills right now. But ill lose it all and sleep in my baby before I sell her!

I just swapped from 18s that were as square fit (Top) to some stock 19's that have the staggered fit (bottom). I think they look a lot better. Plus its nice to have some more rubber in the rear. went from 245 to 275. If anyone needs a cheap set of 18's with good tires I have a set.

Does anyone around here know anyone that does programming on BMW's? My footwell module (light module) went bad and I replaced it with one that was the same build as my car but I didnt check if it was a manual trans car or not. Mine is and I am getting a "Start Off Assist Inactive" Error message. I want to see if I can reprogram the footwell module or just program out the error.

Zombie thread revival. I still have my 2000 M Roadster here in Fishers, IN. Separated the head to replace the allegedly blown head gasket...it's been languishing at a machine shop up in Huntertown, IN for the last few weeks. I took it there because it's close to work, but I may need to just go get it and take it elsewhere at this point.
Would love to catch up with some fellow owners and wrench on some cars sometime.
yo! I don't have my M roadster any more or my 650i either! Just have the wife's 328d X-Drive. I am doing a resto-mod on a 1995 Mazda RX-7 now with an LS1 I have it on a rotisserie for cleaning/welding/body work/Paint/etc... I only have a day or two a month to wrench unfortunately. Hopefully i can find more time to work as the weather cools. I live downtown Indy (Mass Ave area) but don't have a garage at my house currently. I use the building my buddy has on the south side to work on cars. Hopefully by this time next year I will have a garage built at my house.

Guessing there's no one local to Indy/Fishers with knowledge of the S52? A billion videos on removal of the Air Intake Manifold...zero on its reinstallation. There's gotta be a trick to it that I'm missing.
I used to have an S52 in my M-Roadster. I don't recall having an issue reinstalling the intake manifold.

I just found this Indiana thread. I am new here to the BMW world and looking for a Z3. I live in north west Indiana very close to Lake Michigan and right in the middle between Michigan and Illinois border. Hope to see some activity in this part of the forum as it seems quiet.
I feel like forums are getting pretty quiet over all with people preferring to use Facebook groups. Forums are definitely better for finding answers to questions that have already been asked though.
I don't have a Fun BMW anymore. Just my wife's diesel. My fun car is an LS3 Powered Widebody RX-7
