    Out of warranty maintenance records are stored by each individual dealer in their own database, you have to find out where the car was serviced at and maybe go in and ask for them.

    Does anyone have access that they could pull a service history on my car? I have a X3 that the dealer pulled the full report for me 4 years ago. I went to them with my "new to me" Z3 and they now tell me policy changed we can't pull the service history for you.

    Compare away...$12 vs $40 for carfax. Not fluent on german but looks like the same info as on an advisers screen....

    Where the hell did the post I quoted go?!

    Anyway.. The carfax service history is free. A complete carfax history is what costs money.

    I tried entering the vin provided in the sample report, but carfax didn't recognize it as a valid vin.
