This is not a function that was offered on the e36, but it was available under the name 'RDC' (not DWS, that just shows if one wheel has a different circumference by looking at ABS sensor data).

Here is a screenshot I could find of INPA

I do not know what model BMW the INPA was connected to.

The E38 (like the 740i) had it; and quite some other cars as well, like the e46 and e39. The part number of the receiver is 6752127.9 but it doesnt show up on realoem partnumber search...

It should also send temperature, maybe even battery voltage per sensor

Yeah I thought so as well!

Here is some more info with part numbers on the system as it lives in the e46

    RealOEM....nuff said.

It even finds the whole P/N by just using 6752127, but no result.

On BMWfans.info, no problem. Part is found.

p.s. that inpa screenhot is from http://www.meeknet.co.uk/7sf/..., so that's the UK guy's E38.

And there were two systems, RDC and RDW (Reifen Druck Control/Warning)

In the end, if we won't manage to get the OEM module working, there is also the option to use aftermarket systems where we can tap off the datastream. I already found some projects/people that know much about that, and can tell us exactly how data is managed.
But I have faith in the combination [pheno&openobc&inpa&oem rdc receiver]

Ok guys, need some help here. Finally got around to checking my open obc out. I was hoping to maybe just turn it on and set the time. I have a memory card in so I gather it has written its default config file to it as it doesn't show that message anymore. So basically what happens is I plug my power adapter in, shows the open obc message and then turns off. Is there anything I can do with it out of the car? I haven't found much in the way of tutorials, they are a little vague. But I am eager to learn and start experimenting!

If you look at the board there is a small switch that says 'ON' and 'Auto' (I think). Switch it to 'ON' while using it out of the car.

You the man! Okay something I've always wanted to do. on my '95 the OBC could be wither 12 or 24 hour time but on the one I have now in my '96 it is only 24 hour time too, same on this new OBC. Surely I can change this.

On an OBC, press an hold the time button untill it says "set time" or input time, don't recall. Then with the KM/MLS button you can switch between 12/24h clock.

Doesn't work on mine either. The g force thing seems to be a little wonky, is there a way to zero it out, like calibrate to be 0 at a certain position? So I use windows, what I need to do to start playing around with some files.

Well the wiki isn't very clear and I don't see anything about resetting the g force reader.

Also do none of these work anymore?

Oh like so. Well since I'm from Europe, I need a 24h clock. What does the open OBC have?

Except a 12hour clock, and also none of the standard OBC tests seem to work. Also what manual?

I appreciate your efforts. Do you think maybe you could tell me what page it is on? I've looked at several pages now and haven't found anything.
