Unless proved wrong, I absolutely do not believe that estoril has 285s. The fitment isn't right. They look wide as hell, but the fitment does not look right at all. I want to see pics of the tire stamping.

I believe the white one is in the middle of an LS1 swap...and his rear fenders are pulled and or hammered in the inside to the point it cracked, IIRC. I can't exactly remember, but its in his build thread.

    EDIT: Here it is...

Auto-X pic tells me nothing. I'm more than willing to admit I'm wrong if proven so.

Not my car, I has no pics.

...speaking of no pics, you never did send me the hi-res of the burnout pic, or one of the smoking tire dust pics...

I don't think the owner has any sidewall pictures, I can't remember what thread its in either or the owners name or else I would go look myself.

The ONE thing I did remember is that he had to run a small spacer to clear his coilovers/shocks

Why is it so hard to believe Spastic?

The fitment just doesn't look possible to me. The fenders don't look flared at all.

I kinda am with spastic, i have a 18x10 CHs on the back of my Estoril, I rolled the fenders to fit 265/35 and his car looks lower than mine tooo boot.

I can see where you're coming from spastic. The fitment looks off. I had 255s barely squeezed under my fenders and it rubbed my exhaust. It seems like his tires would rub his exhaust too. Either way kudos to him for great fitment.

I'm in need of some 265s at least for my fikses. As soon as I get another set of wheels to run stretch on, I'm gonna get me some fat rubber.

The forgelines I have for sale poke out as much as your fm10s and they are 18x9.5 et19. I bet if someone stretched the same tire size as you they could get wheels to fit on an E36. Actually, I'm sure of it.
I've got 225/45 fuzion ZRi. And you have a PM.

the white LS1 swap is amazing... the blue one really doesn't look like 285's. 265's are a tight fit, but then it may be a narrow running tire.

Really? What were the specs on those wheels?

I ran 255/35 Pilot Sports on 18x9 et45 BBS RGRs with untouched fenders and still had room to work with. I could've easily fit 265/35s, maybe without even rolling the fenders.

The estoril DOES have 285's (or something thereabouts) on it but has a widebody on it that is extremely subtle I believe. The member's name I think is Keda. He used to post a lot back in the day before most you noobies came along

I can't find the thread/post where he described what was done, maybe someone else can.

I don't understand why it's so hard to believe that the estoril has 285 tires. You can tell from the pics available that he tire is not stretched, and being on a ten inch wheel, means it's going to be a wide tire. You can tell from the pictures that the tire is very wide, it looks to be much wider then your average 255 and 265, so I don't see how it's that unbelievable.

There is no way in hell that car has any kind of widebody work on it. You must be confusing it with another car.
