It did not even look like a race to me. The 335 just ran away like the M3 was not even trying.

hmmm, that looks like a huge HP defecit on the M3. Doesnt sound right, specially with a conservative DINAN on the 335.

I agree. M3 was in wrong gear and thought the v8 could out pull the v6. Get a real driver in the M3.

As I stated before, communicate well and often, especially when the news is not going to be pleasant.
The driver and his passenger were creating such a huge aura of fail with their annoying ass voices and 16yo-girl-like driving skills, that the M3 just could not perform correctly.
im calling driver error or something on that m3, the 335 walked on it like it was standing still
and a side note if that was my m3 I took in for service and found a vid of some mechanic racing it, there would be some serious issues goin down

Thats is amazing.. I would not of thought the 335 tunned will out perform the 08 M3 in a straight.
How many passengers in the M3?? Must be some weight issue??? Or perhaps was the driver driving?? Or did he forget to use M mode??
Must be mechanical issues with that 08 M3..
Its a shame that they used someones poor M3 for a joyride... If it was mine, his ass would be mine.

I do own a modded 335...And they do rip out pretty well....
AA estimates my car to be ~380-400 RWHP and 410 RWT..as compared to others with the same mods they have dynoed in Florida...
I believe that Dinan car makes more power than you think, and although I cannot speak for the new M3, do not discount that 335 that easily..
They are fast....

Good lord! I am at work and can't listen to the audio. This is a mechanic with a customer's car? You can tell how smart he is by allowing the camera guy to get such a nice shot of his face on a youtube video racing a customer's car. For God's sake get a fake beard, dark shades and a hat!
After seeing that video...I like my turbo m3.
Did it sound like they were short-shifting the M3 like crazy to anyone else? I did not hear the signature M3 8000+ RPM wail like I was expecting.. Maybe still in the break-in period?

Well if he is a mechanic, maybe he is short shifting and not really beating on the M3. Otherwise, thats a HUGE 335 advantage.

Whether the M3 driver knew how to drive or not..the advantage the 335 had over it...3 times in a row..by a humungous margin..would not have been made up by a better driver..
Bottom line the 335 with a couple mods is faster then the M3...in that TYPE of race...

No one really know whats goin on on that video. Seems like a couple of clowns to me.
On this video the Dinan 335 lost out on the track and the quarter mile to a stock M3 by a small margin.

In a quarter mile and road track you need to have skilled drivers 1:1 to be a comparison, else the better driver wins. Its pretty hard to mess up a highway pull.

Hence the reason why I never take my car to a mechanic...BMW or not. That made me cringe thinking of the poor bastard who owns the M3.
