BMW is recalling 28,450 2007-08 Mini Cooper S vehicles to replace the tailpipe with a shorter one because of some complaints that a person's leg could get burned during inadvertent contact. But the German automaker takes the unusual step of complaining about the recall.

just to clarify... it's just the little tips that we are replacing, not the whole exhaust or anything like that... a very quick, and simple procedure.
duh, the old ones did this too, who cares, just watch your legs

They need to do something about the doors too. There is a danger someone could slam one on their fingers or something.
My fiancee's sister burned her leg on my tailpipe... now she has a permanent brand in the shape of a half-crescent. It was her fault because she was messing around and not paying attention... I don't know if the recall was really necessary.

There's many more vehicles than the Mini that need to be recalled, then.
330ci ZHP + ZPP + ZCW - SilberGrau on Black Heated Leather - 6MT - Adaptive+Dynamic Xenons
328is ZPP - Black on Sand Leather - BBS RX - ZKWs
Subaru BG Outback 5MT - Blue/Gray - WRX Wheels + Altimax Arctics
Hehe, getting burned lol.
i better ask chevy about a recall, i could slip while stepping up into the 'hoe
I would not get mine replaced, but mine did burn my leg, it gets you when your not thinking about it
and it's the type of burn that you don't really feel until your burned and it's too late
I did it folding the seats down to load stuff in the car
