An adjustable wrench and a hammer spun mine right off... Worth a try before you spend that kind of cash!

I use just a plain craftsman 32mm wrench I got at Sears. Works great. That and a screw driver will take it off in no time.

Leave the belts on, put the wrench on the nut, adjust it down snug, give the handle a few sharp blows (remember, its a reverse thread), spin fan until free.

Some members have had real issues with this but I think they live in areas where rust & corrosion might be more of a problem..

I live in bay area, and my car is also in bay area 90% of the time, so most likely I won't get any corrosion and rust right?

HAHA, No im not lending it out, I'm putting it to good use though (aka I use it personally on other ppl's cars) When do you need it back? Im kinda in a dilemma right now as my car is dead...cooling system failure that I can't quite figure out where exactly my coolant is leaking from. What have you been up to?

I bought my waterpump holder from BMPD.com if I remember correctly for ~$35. I bought my 32mm wrench from Sears for ~$25.

    Isn't this a 1.25 inch wrench?
If so I bought a cheap set for like $12 or so @ Harbor Freight. I've only used the SAE set once.

woah.. bimmer95, you spent so much for 32mm wrench... I bought it only for $12, now I'm looking for the fan removal tool and I don't want to pay too much just for simple tool
