Dont know how many were made....they seem to be rarer than the Coupe...I myself have a 2.8 blk/blkOriginally posted by Ridgeway
how many z3 coupes were made?
I don't think I've ever seen a coupe that isn't a M

I think numerically speaking, the Z3 3.0i Coupe is the rarest of all the Z3's, Roadsters, Coupes, M's, etc....
I also see that you are a Mod-A-Holic too.
Welcome to the crazy world of BimmerForums the best damn messageboard in the WORLD!
Great looking photo.

Welcome! Looks great!
In this area I have counted 4 or 5 silver 3.0 Coupes and only 1 silver M Coupe. Maybe it is a fluke??

Welcome Mr. Roaster. You can't find a better bunch of people than those at BF.C
According to Fred Meloan's numbers the 2.8 is "rarest" at 991 with 3.0 at 1060:

Oh well, heres mine with the Bilsteins & Eibach springs... same wheels as DonZ3.
I haven't seen many other 2.8's with these wheels.
Looks good Rotor...Damn good...I have never seen the Coupe in that shade of blue...funny I was thinking about getting some M Roadstar rims from the M Coupe and sell my rims, but after looking at your car with your rims...I'm holding out for a minOriginally posted by rotorhed

Before we totally hi-jack this thread, I'd like to say Vilkomen to cofferoaster too..nice coupe !
Don, I don't think the rear Roadstars will fit on the 2.8 coupe. The 2.8 rear wheel hub is really wide and the deep dish Roadstar would probably stick out beyond the fender. I have 20mm spacers and bolts on my rear wheels that bring them out flush with the w/wheel. (Got them with my 16" winter tire set for the M coupe)some M Roadstar rims
Welcome to the club!
rotorhed, is your coupe Montreal Blue? It looks like it could be, but is slightly different. The color changes in different lighting, on my car anyway. Your coupe is quite an unusual color in any case.
stjobs
stjobs, Coupe is Montreal Blue (early 9/98 wholesale date). I took the picture at dusk and the flash went off which throws too much contrast in the pix.is your coupe Montreal
Your rite...dont wanna hi-jack this thread so if you dont mind Rotor PM me..I'd like to know more on spacers and how to make my stock rims look more menacing.Originally posted by rotorhed

Thanks for the info! Still, both are damn rare at around only 1000 made... Ferrari makes more 360's a year than that, if I recall correctly...Originally posted by rotorhed

DAAMN.. I just double-checked the sales numbers and my 2.8 Coupe had a production date of 9/98 which means it was one of the first FOUR to be built. (shows in the paint...he he)
It gets to make the trip back to HC this year instead of the M.
