zenon : Yes I still can use the Shell 95 fuel like previously I use. The redline increased by 200-300rpm but since the car is Automatic the shifting point only increased by 200 rpms the the EGS will do the smart shifting job.
Might be a better idea to use smaller wheels to get better performance since I am using 20" wheels I don't get the most of it.
The ECU Remap by Chippeduk. I contacted the local reseller here in Indonesia and he just re flashed my ecu by plug in the device into OBD socket, 10 minutes job and it's done. If the dealer do software update the mapping from chippeduk will be overwritten BUT not to worry because usually the chippeduk reseller will do the remap/reflash the ecu again for very small charge or even free of charge like mine ;-)

You have a 99 528i? 99 has a m52tu does it not? I was told I cannot do this manifold for my car.
JasonR : Mine is prod 10/1999 still M52 single vanos. You are right, the M50 manifold does not fit the M52TU engined car.

Ahhh I know I'm just reviving the thread lol...I don't seem to find much info about this conversion.
Even the manifold kits are for 328i for for 528i
Looks like this conversion didn't gain traction for some reason...
You’re 10-15 years late coming to the party. The M50 manifold swap was done on 1,000s of (mostly) E36’s back in the day. You don’t see the E36’s around very much anymore. I still have a couple of those manifolds up on the high shelf in the garage. I’ve sold more than 20 of those, way back when.

I'm very late to the party, my car is 1998 and it's 2022 haha
Next year it's a classic!
I've heard it helps get rid of ccv issues
Diehard E39 driver.
I'd rather die or take a walk before driving an E60 or any BMW made after Y2K.
