    sure no prob...
for the place in hayward, I go to motorsport techniques the guy to speak to is Jack, I have been working with him for years. He used to work at a place called C2 in oakland. I still take my business to c2 contact to talk with is jason. C2 is known mostly for working with RX7, but they have good overall automotive knowledge.

If you need anything or a referral just email me elee@axt.com
I have brought cars to these two establishments for about 15 years. It is good to have several options, esp since BMWs are very expensive to maintain.

I can second Jack Chu - he's excellent to work with.

You might consider Bavarian Professionals in Berkeley, if that's not too far north, and Motorspeed West (nearly as far as SJ, but not quite).

There are a ton of good BMW shops in the area, these are just a couple that I've dealt with happily.

Wow, I had no idea any of you guys also went to Motorsport Techniques. I had my c/o installed by them last summer, and am very happy with price and quality of work.

I would have never heard about them if they were not down the street from an internship I had last summer. I stopped in during my lunch break, and spoke to Jack...I was sold by the knowledge he had on bmw suspensions.

Anyways what other work did you guys get done by Motorsport Techniques? It seems as if they're mainly a suspension/alignment shop.

I actually didn't even get them to do my alignemnt as I was unsure whether they did a good job or not. Instead I took the hit and went to Custom Alignment (wasn't sure if it was worth it).

Motorsport has been around for years. I have been friends with them since it was a small little shop back in Dublin back in 92-93. They do alot of honda acura work from motors to turbos, but the knowledge is limited for BMW. Jack does most of the suspension and alignments for autocrossers. I have them do minor upgrades, like HIDs, intakes and exhaust. I also have jack troubleshoot alot of things for me.

How much does a standard suspension install cost at Motorsport Techniques? Anyone ever drop ship from Ground Control there?

    That's pretty much on target.

I opted for a suspension install only and was charged 175. I got my alignment done at Custom Alignment, unsure whether it was worth the $$ or not.
