Guys, I have some play in my steering from a slightly worn box. I am ok with it now, however, eventually I want to get a remanufactured box. Is it better to get a new remanufactured box or a low mileage used one? What is uasually the cost on both and where is the best place to get one? Thanks, Hutch
I would get a ZF reman...
I have a ~70k mile M5 box on the shelf if you want to go that route....
My Indy told me there is really nothing you can do. You can tighten it, but it will still have the play. Will and M5 steering box fit a 95 525it and why do you have a 70k M5 box?
how much for the M5 box?
If I replace it with a remanufactued ZF, where is the cheapest place to go?
bumping this up, I found a box but it's non servo, seems 1992 and 1993 came with a speed sensitive servo which I need. This one is a really good price for a non servo.
