Question about a replacement steering box for my touring

Guys, I have some play in my steering from a slightly worn box. I am ok with it now, however, eventually I want to get a remanufactured box. Is it better to get a new remanufactured box or a low mileage used one? What is uasually the cost on both and where is the best place to get one? Thanks, Hutch

My Indy told me there is really nothing you can do. You can tighten it, but it will still have the play. Will and M5 steering box fit a 95 525it and why do you have a 70k M5 box?

well the adjustment could help and would be much cheaper to try first before going and replacing the box.

if its reached its max adjustment then yeh, go and replace it.

bumping this up, I found a box but it's non servo, seems 1992 and 1993 came with a speed sensitive servo which I need. This one is a really good price for a non servo.

    http://www.autopartspoint.com/addtoc...82-00335.html#

    $450 with a $250 core exchange.

Anyone have any leads on a servo steering box? There wwas a guy on ebay selliung remand ZF's for 650 with a core exchange but I cant find him.....HELP!!
