Lot's of new stuff hope it stays together a little longer. LOL
Very Very well done. The point of my last post here is that any one should build what they want with what they want. Nothing is perfect. And really, the older 3s arent worth much any more. Just like the trans am. Way too many people were angry back then that I took a supposed collector car (they only made 30 of them) and built a car out of it. Dont consider that it was basically trashed when I started on it. This looks like a perfect home and use for this old 3. the design and application of the build looks impressive from every angle. very well done intake manifold. I hope to follow this build to the end.
JT Thank you for posting these pictures. Even the tiny details like brackets for the AMS1000 and clecos (?) holding the switch panel to the tubes are very, very interesting! I don't often get to see this type of stuff in person so it's a real treat to see how it's done by a professional online.
Can't wait to see more
Nice JT haha I thought I was the only one who made round bar frames to hold relatively insignificant things down - awesome!
Haha that's funny
hah thats hot JT - i didn't think of using tubing for my methanol tank hold down... that'd be cool, but also overkill for me lol
damn car looks insane!
Oh man oh man, I got so excited I thought there were new pics posted. I look forward to this car's updates
Sorry guys I had lots of stuff to do for christmas. I am now doing all the machine work on the engine. I did balance the crank Sunday. The rotating assy is ready. I should put the head together this weekend. I have some sidejobs to do to get the money for the bearing and gaskets. So there you go. Nothing visual but an update nonetheless. ///J.T.///
Lot's of new stuff hope it stays together a little longer. LOL
JT you can run engine machine tools also? Dang, impressive. Anything you can't do? Fly? hehe
I hope Brian can post up another round of pics once you're ready. These photos are a part of a drag chassis education. :-P
I had my private and instrument rating but had to let it go due to the high cost of airplane rental. Seriously!!! Ask Brian,I have an ultralite in my trailer because I am too cheap to reinstate my licence. There is lots of stuff I can't do but I am willing to give it a try. The problem with running machine tools is their availability to use them. Not many people have the access to them. ///J.T.///
I did the rear fender extensions tonight and some metal shaping for the wheel arch. Next I will anchor the rear part of the bumperand finish the chute launcher and shroud line mount. Wheelie bars are almost done and will start on the wheel tubs. ///J.T.///

lol ive made like 2 gallons of soup in pots smaller than that.
Loving it JT maybe I can see it someday!
Soooo much time/money/labor invested into your project. I hope everything is worth it in the end. Definately a bad ass machine your building there. I dont think i would have the patience to build something of this caliper.

Thanks for posting the pics JT. As usual, more things to learn from.
Are those Dzeus fasteners on the rear bumper skin? (Not exactly sure what the right term is.) Once you take off the bumper, can those metal rods be removed too? Looks like you could have total access to the rear end in less than a minute! Very cool
