I acquired a 1998 Techno Violett M3 Coupe on thursday after driving down to PA to check it out.
Heard about it from someone on the boards it wasnt really advertised.
came to see that it needs massive amounts of work to get into decent shape...
the day I saw it
it needs just by looking at it
cooling, brakes, suspension, bushings, tie rods, rear control arms, front lights, wiring was all over the place
as of today
before anything started

wiring was a mess wires pulled that shouldnt be when the speakers were stolen, when power was connected the turn signals had a mind of their own and nothing was switched on in the cabin
wouldnt start
now after a few things were cut...
need to finish the speakers up i dont have the 2nd plug for the oem amp and I dont have the oem amp either
ripped out some POS aftermarket alarm
thank god the oem radio wiring harness is in tact
as you can tell its far from done
right now i need to push start it to see if engine is ok as the starter is dead
took off the coil packs the started cranked the motor a bit but a bunch of rusty ass air was pushed out of the motor possible earlier hydrolock
hopefully i can get this started and check out the motors compression and leak down numbers

What a POS. That was for your comment in response to my thread a while ago, if you can remember.
how much did you pay for it ? not too much i hope.
Looks like you have a bit of a project on your hands. Looking forward to following along..
Whats your plans for it?
Man, someone really wanted those tweeters! And, what a wiring nightmare, but GL
Well, at least its something to do for the years to come....
my vote goes to strip it down and turn it into a track car.
You should have squirted some ATF into each cylinder through the spark plug hole to lubricate the rings before you made them grind over flash rust on the cylinder bores. They engine may have been fine, and you may have just ate the rings.

Wow, the car does need a little TLC. There's nothing like finding a good project car to bring home, work on, and revive. Good luck with it.
You didn't look hard enough.
