1998 bmw 318i no sound out of aftermarket radio please help

1998 318i recently lost sound out of my radio
took radio out of the car and tested it and it works fine only installed in car i dont get sound radio turns on and fuctions just no sound i am assuming it has to do with the amplifier or something

someone please pm me about this problem i would appreciate it alot thanks

sometimes those aftermarket units require you to connect its amp wire and or power antenna to a power source / constant

just recently installed an aftermarket radio, had same prolbem. if your car has an factory amp. mine was located behind carpet on left side of trunk. you haft to connect the amp wire to the amp wire on the aftermarket headunit. typically a blue wire. (not sure what color wire is the signal wire on the car)
