RS-GT are hands down the greatest wheels made for an e39in any color.

I think they would look great on a black car or any color car, for that matter.

IMHO, the "problem" (if there is one), with them, is that they tend to look a bit small compared to other offerings. I would def go 19" w/ them.

it is a personal choice but I'm not really digging them. It makes the car look like an M3.

do any of those pics have staggered rims? they all look like 18's too.

i was hoping someone was running 19s with 8.5 and 10 for reference.

aubergine 540 has 8.5 all around. Not sure about Nero's ride. Either way, the lip is the same whether its a 18"x8.5 or 19"x10.

I have staggared 8.5/9.5s and I dont see why would one spend extra for these, same all around allows first and foremost ROTATING the wheels around - might come in handy when PS2s cost $350/pop

    Brandon, I dont completely agree

If you PUSH the car to the LIMIT - yes, non staggared will provide more neutral balance. That would happen because of ALL the wheels letting go at the same time.

@ all other times, non staggared is better. 245s in the front vs 235, 275 in the back vs same 235s on the street and staggared is better hands down

Not black, but gives you and idea of 19" BBS RS-GTs =)

im not really concerned with the lip but i didnt know that it would be the same size, thats interesting. but i want to go wide in the back for the stance and for traction. 8.5 is like a 245 or 235 and that would be stupid on an m5.

i want 275 on the back minimum.

and if i do get non staggered it has to be 9.5, i will admit i LOVED the oem m5 rims in 275 all around. i really noticed a difference when i switched over to the 19's and staggered setup so it would be cool to go with 9.5 all around again.

and i saw those pics on the alpine white, they look absolutely stunning on alpine E39, but on black e39 they just kind of look meh. i dont know why but they just dont scream at me like they do on the alpine e39.

    d@mn you B, d@mn you!!!!!!! haha

i really would kill for some 18s in 275/9.5

as much as i love the 19, i want to go back to 18's just for the ride. my car really felt alive with the setup i had to begin with.

its true that non-staggered is better

but non-staggered 245/245 is not better than staggered 245/275 setup (especially for an M5 with enough power)

275 allaround is better than staggered 245/275

you tried to compare 2 different things

in this case, staggered is better, if your referring to only having 245's in the back

in particular, why would you wanna run 245's in the rear of an M5 ... i think that would be a very very scary M5 to drive aggressively

RS-GT and RGR's are amazing wheels ... very strong and light wait ... they would probably look awesome on black car, but RS-GT's do not photograph well ... diamond black has to be seen in person to appreciate them

and those pictures look like 18" ... 19" look much different, just like the BBS LM's just do not look good in 18", only in 19"

i never said i was going to put 245 on the back, i even said myself that was stupid. so 8.5 rears are completely out of the selection and rears will be 9.5. if i can find 9.5 all around that would be sweet.

and i know what you mean about seeing the RSGT in person, they do look really stunning in person and ive seen them many of times. just not on an e39. some wheels look great on one car but then you put it on another and you go wtf? thats kind of how i feel about RSGT on a black e39 compared to a white e39.

    are there any e39 rockin 19 RS-GT"?

have you driven an m5 with non staggered 9.5 all around? you would know what im talking about if you did.

    but id rather run a 8.5 x 10 or 9 x 10.5
