Hmm I didn't know you needed to have bass that would shake your neighbors house down to have a sub in your trunk. I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people a kit like this is just enough to add to the music. I knew someone running two 10" subs off a single 2x200 watt amp, that had more then enough bass for the person that still liked to have a conversation with someone in the car.

I do like a little bit of a low rumble, and I know even fore this it may be more important to have a properly built unit. But for someone just looking to ad a little bit of oomph to their music. I see no problems with this enclosure. I mean from the introduction posts to this, I NEVER got the impression that I would get competition levels of sound quality out of this enclosure. He even offered it in a $200 bundle with amp and sub... what about that seems like its implying this is the best of the best in reference audio?

But belive it or not, there are people that apreciate things in life that dont roll in cash. Belive it or not, there were fairly and are fairly afordable BMW's, especially in the use market. So maybe, JUST MAYBE there are a few people looking for somethign just a little bit extra without dropping $5 grand on a custom setup.

I'm sorry that we are so below the level of understanding that the people that made these comments are. The peasants will return to their rightful place serving you at McDonald's and bumping fresh beats out of our Neons with unpainted body kits and rust holes.

Sorry for the lateness and the poor words. But Self righteousness is one of my peeves.... Carry on.

im looking to build my own ski pass subwoofer setup for my e46, would you be able to construct a box that would fit snug into this area?

Yes, we can build you one, but the convertible space is pretty tight. Most prople just run a woofer in infinite baffle in the ski-pass of the 'vert.

    yes i would.

I plan on doing it. That's the budget. NO problem for me. My penis size is adequate, and I'm not compensating for it.

Ohnoes! the kiss of death "honda".
You sure are sure about a lot of things that you really have no clue about...

MOST BMW owners are spending about that, OR less (as in none) in case you really are out of touch with reality. How many forum members bought those little basslinks with very modest output for more $ and said how great they were and exactly the right amount of bass? (before you ever got here BTW)

How many rock the pawnshop amp, $50 particle board prebuilt (r/t for example) and local $100 woofer. (a lot)
how many are driving CARS that cost them less than 5x the amount you denigrate? A lot.

I would and everyone would want to know where i got it for only $30.

    I have now two questions:
Does the car audio biz attract self aggrandizing asshats, or are they just over represented in this thread? I've counted several... all of whom are demeaning of non-bmws, DIY guys, and are 'professionals'. Without entry level and DIY, you have no market for mid or upper level. ESPECIALLY now that it is gone from TV and magazines. Most professionals are anything but experienced and knowledgeable and honest. Usually they are the ones who last, since crap with a name one it sells itself. Witness JL audio's ZR and W line, Current DEI audio and Maxxsonics anything... you have taught us that the brand is the value (and you are still trying to do it in this thread). So who ever sells the brand cheapest, wins.

Anyone who takes money for doing something or is licensed to do something for money is by definition a professional... Funny however how the MOST professional (using the term for expertise and or exceptional execution) people in here are the ones doing it for LOVE not $$$$, Tom and Halston excepted.

2:what is the difference between this precut MDF and the MDF you "professionals" use after you cut it?
None. It isn't magic mdf you are buying at HD or Lowes. anyting you ca do to your box (ei glue it and reinforce it) you can do to this one.

We do sponsor this forum for money, but I do also LOVE my job.

Also I have been running this box with an IDQ12v3 in my NEW BMW since this thread began. The IDQ sounds great in this enclosure. I should add that it fits very nicely in an E92 and wedges itself perfectly behind the seat with no mounting at all.

I actually just pulled the enclosure out today because the car is going in for service next week and they need access to the trunk. Amazingly the box is still in one piece!! LOL!

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but I have a 07 328i with the 7 speaker logic system and I was wondering if the amp that I'm going to use has "high level" speaker inputs, do I still need to use a line convertor to use the factor subwoofer outputs or not?

    Thanks.

    Anyone?

Box looks perfect to add the needed kick without blowing off the neighbors windows.

    And for a great price.

I regret to tell you this, but all of the 12" boxes are gone. That is almost 600 pieces sold since this thread. The 10" and 15" are still available.

If anyone wants a 12" that was used as a demo, I have an assembled unit that I will sell.

    I am still keeping mine

I wish I could. They are no longer available. I could make them, but not for $30. It is/was a great deal.

Tom we know you only sold all those 12s because of the "violent bass attacks" were destroying them and customers needed to replace them.........

They are guaranteed against VBA's for 6 months or 72,000 cycles whichever comes first.

How do we count the cycles so we know where we are at in our warranty?

Do you still have that $59.99 sub available? I don't see it on your site, but I suspect something like this would be a better move then the m5 subs I was planning on installing this weekend...

    PowerFlex Bushings

I was looking at the 10" bos and your site estimated that shipping would be $6.95 and then I entered a CT zip and the shipping was $19! That's 65% of the product cost.

The $6.95 price is the one pound rate. Once you enter your zip code the actual weight and distance is calculated.

12's are all gone. The only one left is the one in my car and I am not getting rid of it.

I have had people mount 12's in the 10" box. It will work as long as the airspace requirements meet the needs of the woofer.

Well, that shipping cost doesn't sound reasonable from Chicago to CT to me.

For your reference, this is a shipping quote directly off of the UPS website using a CT zip code. The box is almost 29 lbs, so that is the main reason for the expense. See attached screenshot.

Wow, I didn't know it was so heavy, but I still wouldn't call shipping charges reasonable when it cost 65% of the product cost.
