i was wondering if i could remove the window mounted antenna for the phone and make it hidden in one of the pillars or possible hook it up to the body like a bipole antenna? i saw that on realoem.com has the phone antenna for the e38s that mounts inside the fenders but they are over $200 to buy. the stock antenna doesn't look that nice and i wanted to swap it out and then put a fake shark fin on my car. any help would be great.

So just to confirm you want to move the phone antenna inside? I assume you mean the factory analog phone antenna? Those are obsolete and no longer get service.
If you mean radio antenna I am sure if you get creative you can move that inside without buying the one from BMW but I don't think it would be worth the hassle.
Good Luck!

its the one for the phone. i heard about them getting rid of the analog phones, but as far as i know it will still work on an emergency call right? i don't really want to disconnect it and then just leave it like that, that would probably bug the hell out of me leaving something unfinished lol.
just out of curiosity, how would i switch the phone over to digital?
