is the intake manifold on a 320i engine, the same size as one from a 325?
no, they are different.
Is the 325 one considerably larger?
From the pictures I've seen, it would appear so.

325i intake manifold has significantly larger runners, the TB is also a larger diameter.

yup . . 320i has smaller intake . . smaller TB . . . different AFM
That 2.5 engine I got has a 320i manifold on it, because it has all the extra vacuum line things out the back of the intake, and the runners seemed smaller than the 885 head and there is like an outline of the bigger ports on the surface of the intake manifold (didn't know if this was normal or not.). But I got my spare 325 TB and was exactly the same size as that, So I guess someone did a ghetto and used a 320i manifold instead but put a 325 TB..
