New Rims Questions - pls help

I am having new rims put on this week. Before I put them on I"m wondering what the best way to prep them is. Should I wax them first or is there something else intelligent to do. I am mainly concerned about brake dust which my car seems very good at producing. Second i ordered Eurolocks, wheel locks to keep them on the car. Has anyone used these? Thanks in advance!!

I've heard you should either wax them or put petroleum jelly on them once in a while.
    Current:
    1999 e36 M3 coupe Titanium Silver
    2009 997 911 Turbo Meteor Gray
    Gone but not forgotten:
    2007 E92 335i Spacegrau/Coral : RETURNED
2006 Lotus Elise Polar Blue/Red SOLD
    1997 E36 328is Arctic Silver: SOLD

Piece of advice with wheel locks. DO NOT TORQUE THEM ON VERY TIGHT!!

You will slowly grind away the grooves in the key until it no longer works.

I actually ruined my key last week. I bought McGard wheel locks - and they are going to send me a replacement key free of charge (even though it was my fault). Pretty good.

Wash and wax just like your car

Most wheels are painted and have a clear coat. Even most polished wheels have a clear coat.

Wash them with a separate mitt and wax them when you wax the car. You will be pleased on how much easier they will be to clean.

Thanks for the feedback - I was going to have the shop installing the rims put on the locks but I think i'll do it myself so they aren't too tight.
